Today I partnered with Foster Farms to bring you this fun recipe that comes together in minutes. This is a perfect afternoon snack for the kids or fantastic to whip up for upcoming Game Day parties.
These little pretzel sliders are crazy simple and so fast to whip up and you won’t believe how good they are! I know some of you have teenagers that are probably pillaging for food constantly so this might be an idea to quickly and easily feed the masses without going broke.
My children are very particular about sandwiches. They like sliced turkey and they like cheese and they absolutely love Auntie Anne’s pretzels when we hit the mall. So I thought I’d just combine all of the above to make a hot sandwich that they can grab before soccer and dance practice.
You can use any bun or bread you like for this recipe but we absolutely love pretzel rolls. I grabbed the mini rolls because they are perfect for children and also easy to grab during Game Day parties.
The next step is to pick up a really good sliced turkey – I used Foster Farms All Natural Sliced Turkey in the Oven Roasted flavor. This is a new product from Foster Farms with no nitrates or nitrites and the turkey is raised without hormones or steroids. Pick up your favorite cheese (I made some with both Havarti and Cheddar to suit the picky eaters in my house) and either yellow or Dijon mustard.
I like to brush a little melted butter on top to keep the buns moist and also to help the salt stick to the bun. You can totally save yourself some calories and skip this step.
Once you have your sandwich assembled, you pop them into the oven for about 4 minutes and they are done! So good – the entire tray will be gobbled up before you know it.
- Sliced Turkey (I used Foster Farms All Natural Sliced Turkey, oven roasted flavor )
- Sliced cheese of your choice (I used Havarti and Cheddar)
- Pretzel Rolls
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional)
- Yellow or Dijon Mustard
- Slice the pretzel rolls in half and lay facedown on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
- Add a layer of mustard to the bottom half of each bun.
- Add one slice of turkey on top of the mustard.
- Top with a slice of cheese.
- Top with the other half of the roll.
- Lightly brush a little melted butter onto the top of the pretzel rolls and sprinkle with salt (a little goes a long way!)
- Bake in the oven at 325 degrees for 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Remove and serve immediately.
And here is the ooey gooey finished product:
Literally done in about 10 minutes.
