I can say that my photos of my children when they were little were DREADFUL. Blurry, dark, terrible composition. I just grabbed the camera and snapped without much thought. Usually the camera’s auto settings was the only thing I used. Sometimes we would come home from a trip and not a single photo would really be worth printing out.
The last year or so I have really tried to read a lot of books and articles and understand how to use the camera. I am still by no stretch a great photographer but my photos have improved dramatically.
