There is a really nice deal on the greeting card club from Treat today. You can save 40% off! Depending on which plan you choose that’s like getting up to 15 cards free as compared to the regular price.
If you are unfamiliar with this service, you join a club and get a specific price on either 6 greeting cards, 18 cards or 24 cards for the year. So if I join the 6 month card club, I will prepay for my cards and then throughout the year as I need them I can make Birthday cards, Graduation cards, Mother’s Day cards… whatever I need.
I have done this club in the past and it is really convenient plus the cards from Treat are really fantastic. I also find the cards much nicer than what you might find in stores and everyone seems to love them!
I tested the 6 month plan and it was $10.73 including shipping ( which is $.49 per card). That works out to $1.78 per card. If you just try to buy one card from Tiny Prints it is typically $3.50 so I think this is a great deal. If you buy more cards the price drops lower– the 18 card plan will work out to $1.61 per card and then 24 cards works out to $1.00 per card.
They do add the cost of the stamp to your order- so you pay $.49 extra per card to send it to your recipient.
So again you are simply prepaying to lock in those great prices. If you need more cards, there are other options and the price gets lower. But if you just need a few and want to test out this program, the 6 month is a good way to get started. I know with birthdays, Teacher Gifts this Christmas, Anniversaries etc… I will make at least 12 cards myself.
Head over to Treat to take a look and use coupon code FALL40 at checkout. The offer ends 9/30 so don’t wait!

They are charging separately for postage, which they have never done before. I purchased an 18 card pack with no discount in May and it was only slightly more expensive to the current deal.

Hi Lauren,
Yes I have posted these packages before and I remember when they didn’t have postage but I am confused on the math. When I look at the 24 card plan it is $47. The coupon code takes off $23.81. The added $.49 per card for postage tacks on $11. So even though the price of the stamp is extra now, you still save $12? And if you didn’t buy the package you would still need to pay for the stamp regardless of how you purchased the card right? That seems like a pretty good savings but you said it was only slightly more?
Lauren says
It would still be about a $12 savings, which is a good deal. It’s just not quite as good of deal as 40% off, which they advertise.
Charlene says
Hmm. yes I understand you don’t want to pay $.49 for the stamp but even if you went to the grocery store and bought the cheap $.99 cards you would be stuck buying a stamp too. Perhaps you can email them and let them know you are unhappy.
Lauren says
Wow, thanks for the attitude.
I understand your point. I enjoy this product very much. I was just pointing out that they used to not charge for stamps and now they do.
Charlene says
Goodness! I do not have an attitude! I was just trying to look at the deal fairly from both sides. If it isn’t a good price I would pull the post down. I looked at it objectively and I think it is a good price. You can always express any dissatisfaction directly to the company. If they don’t hear from you they don’t know you are unhappy. How is that possibly a rude thing to suggest? I work very hard to find these deals and respond quickly to people and keep everything updated constantly. I don’t see any reason to get ugly over something so small.
