I went to use the coupon for the free mist and was denied. I was going to purchase some items on sale, so apparently it’s not for any purchase. Plus they were going to charge $9.99 for shipping, not $5.99 like you said.

I don’t see anything about not using it on sale items. I tested it with a $3 soap and it worked fine for me with $5.99 shipping. Sorry you are unhappy.
