Amazon has a new grocery and household program called Prime Pantry. Prime members can purchase household essentials and have them delivered for a flat fee of $5.99. While this may not be for everyone, it is a nice way to save gas and time.
Another benefit of this program is you can just by one item versus the multiple boxes of cereal you needed to buy before to get the discount.
Each box can hold up to 45 pounds. Simply select the products you want and as you shop you can see what percentage of your box is full. As you check items off your list that you need, Amazon continuously tracks and shows you how full your box is.
You can buy as much or as little as you want for a flat $5.99 delivery fee per Prime Pantry box.
Choose from a new selection and sizes of products. Plus, you can head over here to see if any coupons are available for the products you need.

Do you know if this is included in the prime membership? or would you still have to pay shipping? Went to the website and didn’t see an answer.
thanks

I don’t really get it either… with Prime, why am I paying for shipping on these? Are these items that don’t qualify for Prime?

Ladies, according to Amazon they are offering smaller sizes and a larger selection. So items they wouldn’t offer regularly through Prime service because of the cost to ship are now offered via Prime Pantry. I can see a Coke 12pk for $3.99 right now – they don’t normally offer this size at this price. Many people don’t want large packs of everything and often with Prime you do need to buy in larger sizes. I am very interested in this :). I don’t always want bulk of everything and if I can save myself a trip to the store for comparable prices I am totally in.

When I first read this I thought…nah, I’m not going to use that. But I just thought of a great use. We’re going to Disney World in a few weeks and I can order a box of stuff to be delivered to the hotel before we arrive. That will save me valuable packing space in the van. I’m already planning to ship an Amazon case of bottled water and a box of diapers. We can then just go to the store for milk and any fresh items we might want.

Yup fantastic idea Julie! Plus you can always count on Amazon to get things right and on time. I believe the Safeway stores down there (Vons) will also deliver. Not sure if they will go to a hotel though.

Will it be 2 day shipping guarantee also? I couldn’t seem to
Find that answer, TIA

That is a great idea Julie, we just went to Disney in February and I do wish it had been easier to get food to our room. We did the dining plan so we really didn’t need anything other than a few snacks though. There is a grocer that delivers to Disney for only $10 but I am not sure how their prices compare to amazons. I am really not that impressed by the prices, we are prime and if the shipping were free I would probably utilize it but if I am not saving money I’d rather go to the store…but that is the stay at home mom wanting to get out of the house in me 😉
