Here are some free or cheap children’s activities available this week to keep the kiddos busy.  I thought posting these now will help you plan your week.

These are all the things that are free to do this week with just a few that are very inexpensive.

Pottery Barn Kids: Every Tuesday from 11AM-11:30AM, kids of all ages are invited to story time. Times can vary slightly from store to store so you might want to call ahead to verify.

The summer reading program starts May 15th. Children who read 8 books from their recommended list will receive a free book.

Lakeshore Learning:  Kids will make a Fishing Pole Craft on May 17th. Stop by from 11am-3pm.

Michaels: Free Teacher Appreciation Craft on May 17th from 12-3pm.

Barnes and Noble: There is a free storytime Tuesday and Thursday as well as Saturday of each week with books, a cookie and usually coloring pages and activities.

There will be a special Dr. Seuss Storytime on Saturday featuring Oh, the Places You Will Go. Activities and treats will be served at this event. Times Vary.

The monthly American Girl Event will take place on Thursday the 15th at 7pm.  There will be themed crafts and refreshments.   Not all stores offer this event so be sure to click above to check your local store.

Williams-Sonoma: Stop by to learn how to make Salsa during the Junior Chef class.  The event will be on May 17th at 9:30 am.  Ages 8 and up.

Bass Pro Shop: Your kids can participate in the Free Kid’s Adventures Activities- treasure hunts, crafts and more.  These are weekly activities and vary greatly by location.  You can head over here to find your local store to confirm activities and times. And just a heads up from personal experience, it is best to get in line early. These events tend to be very popular.

If you live near an American Girl Store, you might check out their events.  Times and dates vary.

And many Summer Reading programs are starting.  Head over here to find out the dates.
