There is a really nice Target mobile coupon available that I wanted to highlight.
The mobile coupon is for Buy One Get One Free watches, necklaces etc… and the value is up to $58.99.
So basically half off (2) items which is a great deal.
Typically Target registers have a little glitch on Buy One Get One Free coupons. They can often deduct the price of the more expensive item.
Now I don’t want to encourage anyone to abuse this but Target is supposed to honor the offer and actually give you the higher priced item for free.
I did buy 2 necklaces myself- the little gold feather necklace pictured above and a pretty little initial necklace for my little girl. I chose items that were similar in price and the higher priced item is the one that came off automatically at checkout.
So this might be a good time to think ahead to Christmas gifts and such. I like to have things on hand for the tooth fairy and my necklaces worked out to be about $5 each after the discount.
Please note there has been a lot of abuse with this coupon so your store may not be very friendly if you try to buy a $2 item and get a $50 item free. (Personally I don’t feel good about that either). They may flat out refuse to honor it. But the Target Facebook page is full of people talking about this offer and here is a response that I can see from Target:

The offer is available one time only and you do need a smart phone. Simply text OFFERS to 827-438 and they will text you the coupon. You need a smart phone to click the link and pull up a barcode that will be scanned at checkout.
If you already have signed up for the coupons I would recommend shopping soon. I have a feeling with this much drama Target will likely pull the offer (as they have in the past.) If this is your first time requesting Target mobile coupons, hopefully you can still get the offer. Again they can pull the coupon at any time so no guarantees. The coupon is valid through 10/4.
Happy Shopping!
HI IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN GET THAT EMAILED TO PRINT OUT OR SNAP SHOT I DNT GOT INTERNET ON CELL
Linda,
As I mentioned in the post you need to have a smart phone. I have heard of people getting the text link to a regular phone and cutting and pasting the text link into a computer browser and then printing it from there. I have no idea if that works or if the store will accept a printed version of the coupons. These are really designed to be used on smart phones.
This offer is crazy good! But I don’t have a smart phone!
I tried to do this deal at Target yesterday in cupertino, CA. i selected 2 watches $5 and %40. cashier scanned my phone but computer gave error or something. they called over another cashier who manually typed in $5 off. then i went to guest services, and they said the cashier did the correct steps. so i just returned both watches. now i can’t do the deal because i already used it i try to show guest services the facebook message. grrr. i’ll just wait for the next good deal…
I would like to know how people get the link to a regular phone. I don’t text much so my cell phone plan has a bit high of charge for texts.
I did this deal this morning. I got a pair of earrings and a sterling silver Mother necklace for $2.xx. no problems
as far as copy and pasting the text and printing it, it works. I used to do that with the mobile coupons before I got a smartphone. its a unique link, so you’ll still only be able to use it once.
I was able to do this in Cincinnati today with no issues. I know I was reading a lot of people having issues with it being denied by managers and such. All I did was go through the line, cashier rang my stuff up, scanned my mobile coupon, and voila. She was impressed by my savings even. I bought an owl watch necklace for $14.99 and a pair of earrings on clearance for $3.88 and I got the $14.99 off. Some people are saying you need to hand over the cheaper item first, which I did just in case, but I don’t know if it made a difference.
Also, I got a great deal on Merona polo shirts. They were on clearance for $7.48. I bought 3 and used the $3 off $15 men’s Merona purchase text coupon and the Cartwheel offer (can’t remember the %, maybe 10), and they ended up being around $5 each.
I just signed up but I have yet to get a text with the coupon… any suggestions?
Sharon it should come within minutes. You texted OFFERS to 827-438? You can try signing up here too:

Cathy I tried this deal also, the problem with the deal you did, was you brought two watches, and it would discount the cheaper of the two. I did the same thing by accident and told the cashier that I will be right back. I grabbed a pair of earring and it took the watch off, 39.99. I think if you buy a bracelet or necklace, it would take off the higher price item, but not when you buy two watches.
