The winner of the Acer was Beth from IN.
The winner of the backpack was E.C. from CA.
You both should have emails and I already sent the addresses to Staples so the prizes should be on the way!
Just in time for Back to School (and one of mine finally goes back to school this week!), I have an awesome giveaway courtesy of Staples.
Staples has rocked the past few months with amazing deals on office and school supplies. The nice thing about Staples is that they offer tons of easy rebates- and the rebates really are super easy. Fill it out online and you get a check in the mail.
I also like Staples because they typically just offer amazing prices on items. You don’t usually see a “Get this for $x.xx when you spend $x.xx on other items.” I am not a big fan of those types of strings on sales and Staples very rarely has that kind of promotion. They also regularly offer great deals on computers, printers, desks and chairs.
Right now, they are offering Acer Chromebooks for just $229.
This comes with free shipping and has the following features:
Continually updated, always new, the Acer C7 Chromebook keeps getting better and better. It starts in seconds, has virus protection built in, and runs your favorite Google apps plus thousands more. At about an inch thin and 3 lbs. light, this Chromebook goes wherever you go and keeps your files safe and secure in the cloud.

We actually have an Acer Chromebook that is my husband’s laptop. We have had great luck with it over the past few months. He uses it for email, to pay bills and manage finances, internet surfing and other basics from home. Currently it is taking a beating with his Fantasy Football stuff.
This would be a great laptop for those of you with teens and college kids heading back to school. The price is certainly right and the reviews are very good. The Chromebook is easy to take on the go- so perfect for taking this into classes or home for weekend visits.
AND Staples has provided one Chromebook for a lucky My Frugal Adventures reader to check out. Yeah!
AND have you seen the Skullcandy backpacks? Some of you may have purchased these already for Back to School, but these are very cool backpacks. These come with dual side cargo pockets to stash important things like phones and keys, a padded laptop sleeve inside the backpack and padded back to make it comfy to wear.
You can attach headphones to the straps and then adjust the sound and such from the backpack straps. So any teens that are really into tech stuff and music will love this backpack.
This sells for $59.99 at Staples and would be great for Back to School or grab it for an early Christmas gift. I am guessing those of you with teenage boys in particular would be a superstar if you came home with something like this.
AND you also get a shot to win one right here!
Since there are two prizes I am going to do two spreadsheets. One person will be selected randomly from each sheet- so please enter the one you are interested in or go ahead and enter both.

Elizabeth, thanks for the note! I took your email off but I got it if you win. Usually I contact people to confirm if I don’t see them automatically- just in case they have other emails. 🙂

My 14 y.o. son who just started high school today so needs a laptop. Tired of him dominating my desktop. LOL

Hi Daryl,
I posted the winners and also contacted the winners via email. I try not to reveal too much info about winners but just enough so they know it is them 🙂
