Here are some free or cheap children’s activities available this week to keep the kiddos busy. I thought posting these now will help you plan your week.
These are all the things that are free to do this week with just a few that are very inexpensive.
Lego Store: August 6 at 5:00 pm is the monthly Lego Build. Kids will build a Pink Flamingo. This event is limited to kids age 6-14.
Quantities are limited to approximately 250 per store for each build – so it is best to get there early!You can find your local store here.
Pottery Barn Kids: Every Tuesday from 11AM-11:30AM, kids of all ages are invited to story time. Times can vary slightly from store to store so you might want to call ahead to verify.
Lowes: There will be a Build and Grow Clinic August 10th (10:00 am) and August 11th (2:00 pm) to build Dusty from Disney’s Planes. You can register here for this free event.
AC Moore: Free Make & Take August 7th from 1pm-3pm. Kids can create a Tapeffiti Pencil Box
Lakeshore Learning: Make a Pet Fish Puppet August 10th. Children get to make a colorful puppet from 11am- 3pm.
Michaels: Free Family Event- Creativity Can. August 10th from 10 am to 12 pm.
Barnes and Nobles: Join us for a special Ready for School Storytime with Dr. Seuss’s ABC. August 6, 8 and 10th. (times vary) Enjoy an amazing alphabet book Storytime, activities and treats. Geared towards ages 3 to 7, but little brothers and sisters are welcome to this free event, too!
Regal Cinemas: Children’s movies every Tuesday and Wednesday for just $1.00 per person at 10 am. This does tend to be pretty popular in my area so be sure to get there early.
Cinemark: Children’s movies for $1 or $.50 if purchased in advance. The Summer Movie Clubhouse days depending on what state you live in. It’s best to just click on your actual theater to get show dates and times because it greatly varies.
