My obsession so far this summer has been with these incredible Iced Coconut Lattes from Peet’s Coffee.
Now this has been a slightly expensive obsession plus Peet’s is usually a little out of the way for me, so I figured out how to make a version at home!
Mine doesn’t taste exactly the same but I actually find Peet’s to be just a little sweet for my taste so my version I actually like a little better.
This is super easy to make but I prefer to use cold brewed coffee. You can see the steps to make cold brewed coffee here- it is seriously simple but you do need to do it in advance. I make it about once a week and I have a jug in the fridge for my daily iced coffee fix.
So this recipe requires 3 ingredients only:
- Milk (of your choice)
- Cold Brewed Coffee or strong coffee
- Torani Coconut Syrup (I find this for $5.99 for a 750ml bottle at a local liquer store.)
Fill your cup with ice and then add about 1 tablespoon of Coconut Syrup. I personally use just a little less then a tablespoon so better to use less and you can always add a bit more to find your perfect mix.
Next fill the cup halfway with milk and top it with your yummy cold brewed iced coffee (or the strong coffee you brewed and then make sure it has time to cool before adding it to your iced drink.)
Viola!
If you are not a big coffee drinker you can adjust the milk and coffee ratio- I am a big coffee drinker and this seems to be a great mix for me.
Easy peasy and so yummy! And if coconut is not your thing you can always add a dash of chocolate syrup, caramel, vanilla… whatever you like.
And now you can sit back and enjoy your yummy Latte and congradulate yourself on saving $4.55.
PS: I make these ahead of time and take them to go with me. Sometimes I make them up in mason jars and save them for after my workouts. I often take a little of my cold brewed coffee and add it to ice cube trays and make coffee ice cubes. You can use those instead of regular ice to avoid a gross watered down drink.

Thank you Charlene for post this recipe! It looks delicious and I love coconut. I think I might try adding some shaved coconut on top!

I just tried one at Peet’s for the first time yesterday. So yummy, but so expensive. I am going to whip me up a batch of iced coffee tonight, so I can try this. Thanks!

When you say syrup, do you mean like Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup or Torani style syrups? I want to try this cold brew, but I want to go for a Starbucks French Vanilla Frap taste, like the kind you buy in the little jars. I’m not creative at all when it comes to cooking, and don’t have room in the budget to “play”.

oh my gosh, I just made myself guilty of my biggest pet peeve on your blog. I asked a question that is very clearly already answered. Torani it is!

Jessica- the one I used was Torani brand :). I do use Hershey’s every so often.

Just tried it, love it! Couldn’t find torani syrup by me, but found a different brand- Monin and it’s very good. Thanks for the recipe!
