Here is an amazing summertime treat and I really hope you decide to give this one a try. It is so easy and so delicious- absolutely perfect for enjoying a gorgeous summer evening. My family actually sat eating this just last night on the porch swing after dinner.
There are just three ingredients for this and you can mix it up to be a slushie or pop it in the freezer for a few hours and serve it as a sorbet.
Here is what you need:
- Lemon Sorbet
- Strawberries
- Club Soda
Now you can use whatever flavors you love as this recipe is flexible (lime sorbet with strawberries, lemon with blueberries, mango sorbet with raspberries etc…)
- Lemon Sorbet
- Fresh or Frozen Strawberries
- Club Soda
- Add entire container of sorbet to your blender or food processor. Add three sliced strawberries and ⅓ cup of club soda.
- Blend well.
- Remove and serve as a slushie or put into freezer for 4 hours to serve as a sorbet.
I add 3 strawberries but you can certainly add more. The lemon flavor tends to be light so if you add more fresh fruit you won’t taste the bright lemon quite as much.
My kids LOVE this and my husband does too. In fact, I made a batch of this and popped it in the freezer and went to bed thinking I would photograph it the next day… My husband wound up seeing it in there and ate the entire thing 🙂 . Off to the store to make a second batch for me.
This recipe is inspired by an incredible Lemon Fizz drink we had recently at Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco. Ghirardelli makes the BEST chocolate and they make incredible ice cream and sundaes at their shop. We typically get a sundae on every trip and this last time I got the Lemon Fizz as a little something different.
I can tell you I was mobbed at the counter with people asking what I ordered and saying “oh that looks fantastic!” And it was every bit as good as it looked. This recipe comes darn close to what we got at Ghirardelli so I hope you enjoy!
