The next time you go to Target, open the app right before you walk in the store. Your phone will make a little noise when you walk in the door so you know it works.
That will trigger the gift card although the card might not appear immediately. Once your card is in there, you simply pull it up on your phone and the cashier scans it and it is literally $2 off anything you buy.
