Wondering what will be on sale for April?
Here is a free printable list of what is on sale at the grocery stores this month as well as the fresh produce in season right now.
Here are a few of the highlights:
Easter clearance- decorations, baking supplies, cupcakes/cookies/candy and other items like ham, gravy, turkey etc…
Last year Easter clearance went as low as 90% off at Target stores. Typically they mark down 50%, 70% and finally 90% on decorations and the candy tends to go 30%, 50%, 70%.
I have found the 70% off sales start about 3-4 days after the holiday and the 90% off is about a week after the holiday.
April is one of my favorite months for grocery sales because Earth Day falls in April. Some stores call it Earth Month now and we typically see lots of green and organic foods and cleaning products on sale for the lowest prices of the year.
I like to stock up on cleaning items and pantry staples like peanut butter during this time of year.
As we get closer to May, we will see lots of grilling products and outdoor items on sale (for Memorial Day sales).
There are tons and tons of sales for Mother’s Day and for Cinco de Mayo so look for hispanic foods, cards, wine, flowers and other things to be on sale at the end of the month.
This is the summer season as far as clothing goes so expect to see all the fun new warm weather stuff out and a little bit of clearance on spring items.
And lastly in regards to produce, we should see great prices on mango, pineapple, asparagus, artichokes and lots more.
