I just wanted to mention this freebie since the weather is changing and lots of us are spending more time at home.
You can get a free audiobook download from a company called Audible. This is your first book only and then if you like it, you can subscribe to various monthly plans.
I personally LOVE this service. I have always been a big reader so I don’t mind paying for this service- especially since I just can’t read nearly as much as I used to.
So I have the audible app on my iPhone- it is free to download. I can tap and listen to pretty much any book I like. Just pause the book when you are finished and you can start playing it again when you get the chance.
I listen in the car or when I am doing housework/cooking and I listen when I am out for a run or walking the dog. Just pop in your headphones or you can play the books with the speaker on your phone.
It is so convenient and I get through tons and tons of books this way.
I just finished Casual Vacancy from JK Rowlings and now I am listening to The Story of Edgar Sawtelle and after that is John Grisham’s new book.
Sometimes I get the free audio books from the library on Overdrive but I have a really hard time getting some of them to play. Plus the pause button does not always work for me- it skips to the start of the last chapter which is massively annoying. Lastly, I like to listen to what I want and often my library has long waits for audiobooks.
Anyway, the first book is free to download and then I pay for 2 books per month for $22. You can roll those over if you don’t listen to both books or choose just one book per month for $15.
Head over to Audible for more information.
