I had to stop off at Target today and I was surprised to see the outdoor items on clearance!
This is one of my favorite sales every year and it really is a treasure hunt. Some years I can get items for 70% off and some years it seems like the minute things hit 30%, the stores get wiped out.
So this is about a week earlier then I expected and I want to be sure to make it clear that every store will have a different schedule.
Some smaller stores might need the floor space sooner, so that means that they will offer higher discounts to just get things out. Larger stores will probably let things linger much longer and might start at 15% or 30% off.
I find that the furniture and pots tend to go on sale and garden stuff- like weed killer etc… and then the BBQs seem to go on sale a little later.
So just a little head’s up that you might start to pay attention when you shop to the outdoor department and see what you find.
According to the Target clearance schedule, usually lawn and garden items are marked down on Wednesdays. So again, that can vary by store but typically Wednesday is when you will find them either lowering the discounts or starting to mark down.
And as a little look ahead:
- As we roll into July we will start to see the school supplies coming. I love the school supply sales because you can get crayons, paper, glitter, glue… all sorts of things you probably use year round for literally pennies.
- Two other sales that will come in July are the outdoor items- like pool toys, sand boxes, inflatable pools etc… My store hit 75% off on July 17th last year. Again you might keep an eye out there because they will probably start marking things down 15%, 30%, 50% in the coming weeks.
- Finally, for the past several years there has been a toy clearance in July. This is a great time to think ahead to the holidays and any parties you might have for the rest of the year.
Two other clearance things at my store I wanted to mention:
The outdoor serving pieces were already 50% off at my store! Those large bowls at the bottom shelf were just $.98! I used those in my pantry organization project but they are great for serving or craft projects or storage. I grabbed a few to use in the garage.
These bean bag chair things for kids were marked down to $20. These are great if you want to make a little reading corner for the little ones this summer. We had something like this for my oldest daughter but it was a Critter Chair from Pottery Barn and I won’t tell you how much we paid for it. She had an unfortunate potty training incident and that was the end of that cute little thing.

Plastic nardi generally lacks the style of craftsmanship
without paying so much more organic. You generally always enter a bus at the nardi shape of the
chair. No matter what your investment is,” wow you delivered more than satisfied. When one is riveted to the left and on the furniture we can go ahead and release it. Now one of three remaining entrances with a sign holding a big M.

Do you know when they clearance patio furniture? THANKS! 🙂

Hi Lou,
Hmmm… In my post I mentioned most stores will have all the patio furniture on clearance right now for 50 or 70% off. I suggested stopping by your store or calling ahead. Does that help or did you have another question?
