Barnes and Noble is offering three events this summer for children. The first event is in June and it features a hands on Lego build!
The days and times will vary from store to store, so you can enter your zip code here and get more information.
In my area, one store is offering a Lego event and children take home a little Harry Potter lego thing. At another store, they are focusing on the Lego Ideas book.
It looks like they are suggesting this for children 4 and up but I take my 3 year old and 4 year old to storytime at Barnes and Noble every week and I think my littlest would be fine at this event.
I asked one of the employees what they thought the event would entail and she said a table with Legos and children do the build and then take the item home with them.
One note is that it appears all stores are not included in the link above. The store I saw signs for this and talked to the employee is not actually coming up on the list right now. You might just call your store and ask for the children’s book department and they might have more information.
If you want to grab the Lego Ideas book, it is $16.82 from Amazon right now. This would be great to keep the kids busy this summer!
You can also grab a free subscription to Lego Club magazine!

Thank you! I had no idea these were going on. I called my local store and they just had theirs today but the store about 30 min away is doing one next week. My kids LOVE legos!

Kim,
The next one is Leapfrog and then something called Klutz. One per month :). We go weekly to Barnes and Noble and I just saw all the signs advertising today so maybe they got it together late.

We LOVE the Klutz books too! (think crafty type books – how to make balloon animals, how to tie knots, how to make bracelets, etc) I will check that one out too. Thanks!
