Here is a pretty fantastic deal from Toys R Us. You can get Toy Story Operation for just $1.00.
This is available online or in store and the trick here is that the shipping is a killer at $10. So if you have Shoprunner you can get it shipped for free. If you do not have Shoprunner* you can sign up for a free trial membership.
The other option is to see if the game is available in your area to pick up in store or to try and head into your store although they are probably going to be gone early. I have Shoprunner so here is what I did:
I went over to Toys R Us and you want to search for item # 3908759
It should be priced at $1.00
I logged into my Shoprunner account which makes shipping free
I ordered one for our family and one for donation and my grand total was $2.14 shipped.
Now again that worked because I have Shoprunner, so the only way to get this price is by having a membership to Shoprunner or if the item is available for pick up at your local store.
You might have luck price matching at Walmart or Target although I am sure those stores are going to sell out very quickly too. This is featured on the front page of today’s Toys R Us ad.
I am sure this will be out of stock soon but I just placed my order so they are available right now!
* Shoprunner is a free shipping service, you pay an annual fee and you get free 2 day shipping at a variety of merchants. It is actually a pretty cool service because you can order whatever amount you want from a ton of places and it ships free 2 day. They do offer a free 30 day trial of the service but you have to be careful because if you don’t cancel you will be charged for the year of service (I think $76).
They are actually available IN STORE also, if you can find them. They were in the Toys R US ad I got this morning in the Sac Bee….. Seems they are now OOS on-line.

Got mine early this morning! I’m one of the lucky few that got the free shoprunner for a year a couple weeks ago. I’m thrilled!
They added some then when I went to place the order my cart was empty…. they keep going back and forth.
I ordered a couple this morning and it went through just fine. Then a couple of hours later, I got an e-mail that the order was cancelled because they weren’t able to fill it. Bummer!
I would just keep checking back. They added more twice since I posted.

I was able to price match at Target with no problems at all. They were on sale there for 15 bucks…what an incredible deal and since we aren’t always able to donate because money is tight, at this price point we will have a few great gifts to donate!!
I went to Target got the last four! They honored the Toys r us price.
I tried to price match at Target and they wouldn’t let me because they said it was a special deal. I guess it depends on the Target you go to if they will match or not. 🙁
I ordered mine right away for store pick up. I got a confirmation email and then 2 hrs. later, I got a cancellation notice. I guess the store was out?

Yes Nancy you do and it will depend if they still have inventory and if they will honor the ad. Target won’t honor doorbuster sales which this is not a doorbuster but just be aware that this is a huge discount and there is a chance you will have a hard time.
I went to my local TRU and they were able to do a phone order for one of those buzz lightyears from the TRU in Bailey, since they seemed to have over 100 in stock.
Bummer…I went to target today for the price match and they will not honor this ad because it states limited quantities on the bottom of Toysrus ad. When asked if they do that for all ads, to know for future reference, the manager indicated it was just this sale from Toysrus for the board games…hmmm, but their policy does state limited quantities are excluded from price matching – just funny how they pick and choose – keeps us on our toes.
Frankie- yeah. I have a pit in my stomach on this type of deal because it is a “price match policy” but my brain adds a caveat of “only if it isn’t too good of a deal…” That is Target only- Walmart seems more generous.
I ordered 5 games at 9:00 am the 6th. Just got a cancellation email the 16th. Not happy with toys’r’us. Would have been so great for Christmas…
Lori I got one too 🙁 So grumpy about TRU these days. They really should have been much better prepared for that promotion or alerted people to the problems with filling orders MUCH sooner.
I got mine in a target I’m glad I hunted!! Seems most proples were cancelled
