This offer expired!
I just saw this pop up on Facebook and I wanted to get it posted. I have not read through the entire thing because I have to get to my Zumba class but I have a few things I noticed, which are noted below.
It looks like Drugstore.com is offering a free one year membership to Shoprunner on Facebook. You need to click through their link and you should be able to get a custom pin # that redirects you to a sign up page.
Now first off, this is exciting because Shoprunner provides free 2 day shipping service from a variety of merchants regardless of what you spend.
This comes in handy for stores like Drugstore.com, Toys R Us, Lord and Taylor, PetSmart and more. You can order anything you want and the shipping is totally free plus it comes in 2 days!
I have a Shoprunner membership myself and it does come in handy all the time for me. I just used my membership at Beauty.com to place a very small order and my order shipped totally free.
I tested this by registering my husband and the form wouldn’t go through without entering a credit card. I do see people have commented that they were able to skip this step so maybe you have better luck.
It looks like the major catch is that you will be automatically renewed after your free year expires, to the tune of $80. So it is very, very important that you remember to cancel that auto-renewal sometime in the next year.
The last note, is that there is some bit about accessing your Facebook profile stuff that you might want to make note of. I have a special account on Facebook for offers like this that I use rather than my MFA or my personal account.
Head over to Facebook to have a look and if you see anything else that we should make note of please leave a comment below!

I was able to go through without the credit card info. It says it’s optional to ensure uninterrupted service after the one year is up. Thank you for posting. This is going to help out so much with the Holiday shopping!

I think the server is crashed I can get to the sign-up page, but no farther. I kept getting the “Problem Loading Page” error message. If I refreshed a few times, the page would eventually load. I filled in the fields, but the page crashed three times when I clicked “activate.” I saved my PIN. Hopefully, I’ll be able to use it when they fix the servers.

It says they’ve run out… they only had a limited amount.

Just tried and got an error that they “ran out”
Angela says
they are all gone, just tried at 8:18 PM CST.

I put my credit card in since I didn’t know that was optional. Would you know how to delete this info now that the account is active?
In the account settings you can change auto-renewal to off.

Darnit…all gone. 🙁 “This offer was limited in quantity.”

This is the message i got -“Sorry, we’ve run out! This deal was limited in quantity. But please check back soon for more exclusive deals, just for our fans.”

I kept trying this in my Google Chrome browser and Firefox simultaneously, but both sites must have been busy.
Finally, I got through and kept filling out my information to sign up. My application in Chrome kept getting returned to me and not going through. I figured this was because of lack of credit card info.
Then I tried it in Firefox without the credit card info and it worked! Yay!!!!
Thanks!

It is saying it is sold out! Bummer! Thanks for the info, though!

I just tried this and got the message “sorry, we’ve just run out…this was a limited offer…blah blah”. I guess I wasn’t quick enough, but thanks for posting Charlene. Maybe they will offer it again.

I was also able to sign up for one free year and didn’t have to fill up the credit card info.
I hope it works for you too.
Thanks for that deal.

This took me quite a while because the site kept timing out but in the end I was able to sign up without any credit card information. Thanks!!! 🙂

I researched this company and there are many Better Business Bureau claims against them. Basically they enroll people unbeknownst to them and make it super difficult to cancel and refund you.
I went to cancel my account (don’t use most of their participating retailers anyways) and it says “your trial membership is over and you cannot be refunded”. I only signed up today!!! I am now very concerned that they charged me for this free account deal. It has yet to show on my credit card but that usually takes a few days. I am pretty concerned since I stupidly put my credit card info in and CANNOT delete it.

I got an email from them last week asking for me to come back and they also offered me the same offer. I signed for their 2 week free trial about 2 months ago and cancelled at the 2 week mark. So don’t be too discouraged because you too may get the same offer email if you were a previous 2 week trial offer customer. I have since used them for an order with toys r us and my new one year free membership was active and shipping was free!

I got through with no issues this morning. I was almost done with registering last night and the site crashed. This morning I just clicked on the “sorry were out” image and it went to the image we all saw last night…clicked that and there was a nice clean registration page with my pin number waiting for me. Might wanna try again if you were actually able to get to the page with the pin number last night. Good Luck!

Woo Hoo! I kept trying and trying last night, but the site kept crashing (as I posted above). I left the browser page open and shrunk over night. Tried again this morning and Viola! it worked without putting in credit card info.
Thanks, Charlene. Once again, you are the bomb!

Ana- I think you would be hard pressed to find a company that does not have claims against them on BBB. There should be no charges at all as it clearly says free trial. Are you certain they charged you for something or did you cancel the membership and they are just telling you that you have been cancelled? Just because it says you can not be refunded doesn’t mean they charged you anything. That is common language on free promotions because there are people out there that will get something for free and then try to essentially return the item for cash. I am sure there are people that will get a free membership and then try to contact Shoprunner and demand a refund for the value of the service.
