Olay Gift Packs $10 Shipped + Possible $10 Rebate

Some of you probably remember this deal from last year. I noticed it was back a few days ago but the rebate terms are not specified so I wanted to wait until I could make a Walmart trip just to be sure it was all the same.

I did get over to Walmart last night and sadly they didn’t have any of these available at my store to check.

So here is the deal- Walmart.com offers a bunch of these Olay gift packs for $9.00-$10.00. The shipping is free on your order. You will also get a free subscription to Allure magazine with your purchase.

Now last year you had the choice of filling out the form for the free subscription OR you could decline the subscription and get a refund of the magazine value- which was $9.99.

That means you pay $10 and basically get a $10 rebate check back.

So you’ll have to actually order one of these sets and once it arrives, open it up and look at the fine print on the magazine subscription form. ย They allow you to decline the subscription- so just look for that and follow the instructions.

UPDATE: ย The rebate is for sure available again- you can see the details here.

I tried to do this rebate last year, but after a submitted it, I got a letter saying that I hadn’t submitted it properly. (I still believe that I did.) Fortunately, I had waited to use the items and I kept the receipt, so I was able to return it to Walmart.

That was just my experience with the rebate last year, but hopefully you guys will have better luck!

Oh I do remember this deal from last year….LOVED it! I used them for teacher gifts. I just can’t remember if I was able to do more than 1 subscription decline per address??? Did anyone have success doing 2 last year?

I also seem to remember that they also came with some awesome product coupons too with lengthy expiration dates. I did find these in the Walmart stores later in the year and was able to use Olay, Venus or Satin Care coupon on the item as well…therefore a moneymaker deal!

Trinity so you can confirm for sure the rebate is listed? Does it offer a link to view the rebate info online?

Hi Everyone, sorry for the silly question, but it has been a long work week, but how exactly do you get the refund for the magazine subscription? You buy the product via walmart.com, go to that website listed for a refund and just click ‘no thanks’ for the subscription and they send you a check? Thank you in advance for your help because those baskets look like great gifts!

Elisabeth, Buy the basket. Open it up. Look for the rebate form. Follow the instructions to get your refund. It is that easy!

One thing to watch is the dates…it states offer is valid from 12/31/10 until 9/30/11 and while supplies last. Does this mean they need to receive it by 9/30 or just be purchased by then?

well, it doesnt have a must submit date on it.. thats a good thing.

I just got mine today too. The Card is about post card size. Mine was in the basket on the bottom. Be sure to send it in quick!

Awesome! Thanks. Now I print the form out and mail the receipt and form and the card? Just to double check!

    Thanks

Christina, not sure what you want- if it is the rebate thing they are specific usually and bury the info at the bottom. Usually it is like write refund in big letters on the form or something to that effect and mail it off.

This just got better if that’s possible. I just got my bath kit and sent in the rebate (hope I get it), but the best part is in the box can a bag full of sample products. That is really fun since my daughter’s girl scout troop is going to put together boxes of sample products to give to the homeless shelter this winter. Hope you all get fun stuff too.

I got mine, but the postcard for the magazine subscription doesn’t offer a refund option for $10. Please help!

Just thought I would come back to comment.

I got my rebate check today for all 4 of the baskets I bought . I sent them in separate envelopes because I wasnt sure about that part (even though I bought them all at one time), and they sent me the check for all 4 of them in one check.
My check was for 39.96 actually.. so I payed .01 a piece for them! ๐Ÿ™‚ Now THAT is my kinda deal!! I think I can handle that! ๐Ÿ˜‰
    Thanks Charlene & Friends! ๐Ÿ™‚
