I recently posted an article about requesting free coupons by mail. When I first started using coupons I used to do this frequently myself. You simply take a moment and email or call companies and request that they send you coupons. Sometimes I would get great coupons (for free products) and sometimes I would get nothing at all.
I thought I’d start a Saturday series with a handful of companies you can contact and see what happens! You are not guaranteed to get anything from these companies but if you want to take the time to write to them and see what happens hopefully this list will help!
If you are confused about this process, see the article here about how to request free coupons by mail. If you are frisky for more ideas of companies to contact, you can check the list here for companies that have previously sent free coupons.
- Blue Buffalo Dog or Cat Food
- Green & Black’s Organic Chocolate
- Chiquita
- Maybelline Cosmetics
- Scrubbing Bubbles
- Campbell’s Soup
- Oroweat
You can see the last Free Coupons post here and if you decide to write these companies let us know how it goes!
Has anyone received good coupons lately?

Scrubbing Bubbles actually sent me a nice booklet of coupons this week after my phone call in to them. I had called to ask about the FREE offer for the plush scrubby found in the Sunday inserts. Wanted to know whether the one I bought from Safeway qualified or not.

I emailed “Hellman’s Mayo” because the coupons in my newspaper are never very good for that brand and we are very loyal to this mayo. I recieved an entire booklet of coupons for different products. The mayo coupon still wasn’t awesome but it was $1/2 so that was better than the 25 cent off coupon I normally get. I also emailed “Prego” and they sent me a coupon good for any Campbell’s product (up to $3.99). So I waited until I found the big jars on sale and got one 🙂

Jessica, It is not a hoax. I would not post something I haven’t tried and if you go back through the posts you will see readers that confirm they received various coupons from various places. I certainly didn’t make the comments up.

Perhaps you might want to let us know what it is you are saying that is getting such a negative response. I wrote one single letter myself and received $15 in free coupons for a product so I really don’t think it is a hoax as you say. I have no motivation to make up lies- this is actually time consuming to do and if it didn’t work for people I wouldn’t take the time to do it.

Hi!
I totally look forward to your Saturday post. I have been writing to companies for a few months now and have received some pretty nice coupons. Recently, I gushed about Goody hair products and they sent me a box of samples!
Before I head to the stores, I check your website to make sure I am getting the best deals.
Thanks for organizing everything!
Jill
