I just figured there wasn’t much to give stars to!

I love this fact: I know I’m getting better at couponing when the items I circled in my ad match the items you list in the match-ups. 🙂

Thank you Charlene! The stars are awesome and I very much appreciate all your efforts!

Is anyone besides me disappointed with the new personalized prices? I was excited about this because last time I had some really good ones. Well now mine just look like the regular, non-sale prices you see in the store, $2.99 for 80% ground meat, $3.18 for Oscar Mayer Deli, $1.29lb. for whole chicken. Just had to vent lol.

What a Blah week! I’ll be getting some bags and a 6 pack of Snapple to get up my total so I can use $1 off produce coupon for some cheep bananas! Maybe I’l find something exciting on the manager special shelf! Thanks for all you do! You are my favorite blog!

Mariah- the coupon is $1 off a $5 produce purchase- so $5 in produce is needed.
Charlenesays
Ha! Ok it is your job to do the matchups next week!

Our TomThumb has Blue Bell ice cream $3.99 this week (Texas) and I have a $1.00 coupon printed off the Blue Bell site!

I believe the $10 wyb $50 in gift cards goes through 5/10. It seems to be somewhat regional as to what cards are available, and it seems to be only whatever cards are pictured in the paper. My area (Safeway, MD) has Nordstrom, Starbucks, Bed Bath Beyond, Penny’s (or maybe it was Sears? I’m running from memory), Kohl’s, and something else. I picked up a Kohl’s for my mom for Mother’s Day, and a Starbucks for myself. After all, that gives me 20% off my sunday coffee treat!
Ambersays
The Fruity Pebbles catalina worked for me. I bought 4 boxes and got a $3 catalina.
Also, at my store they had Duncan Hines brownie mixes buy 2, get 3 free. I think they were about $1.89 a box. I had a $1/2 coupon so I ended up paying about $2.78 for 5 boxes (56 cents each)
Charlenesays
Oh thanks Amber! So glad that cat worked. I will add the Duncan Hines in today.

Sfwy certainly followed through with their promise to pass on costs to shoppers! Did you read about it in the news? I agree with Lisa G. My new Personalized Deals are a joke. My ground beef, cheese, and other favorites are severely increased. Sfwy, do not insult my intelligence by calling these new prices “deals”…they are simply regular (high) prices.
Renaesays
What about their “buy 2 Pepsi, get 2 free plus a free bag of Tostitos”? That is still running where I live. Or their “buy 2 Doritos or Lays, get 2 free”? Is 50% off something not a good deal?
Charlenesays
Renae- if you feel it is a good deal than I would get it. Buy 2 and get 2 free doesn’t necessarily mean 50% off. A 12pk is usually about $2.99- so 50% off would be $1.50 which is a good deal.
In this case it looks like the price is about $12.58/4 plus a free chips. Now that would be $3.14 per 12pk if that is indeed the price in store. So it would seem to actually be more expensive to do this deal. The chips are an added bonus but Tostitos are only .99 with coupon right now so it doesn’t reduce the overall price by much.
That is how I look at it but again if you think this is a good price than I would add it to your list.
Ameliasays
Renae – As Charlene explained those deals often aren’t that great because they charge their highest price for the two for which you pay. Now, if you had a decent “personal price” on the Doritos or Lays plus some coupons, it probably would be a great deal. 🙂
Casssays
They don’t even have personalized prices where I am at. So I didn’t even get to enjoy it while it lasted! I will say those tortillas are beyond amazing though.
Stephaniesays
For those near a Nugget, they are selling corn for 25 cents an ear this Saturday and Sunday.
And I second all the comments about my personal prices this week. Yuck!

Does anyone know FOR SURE if the $10 catalina is still gong on for the gift card purchase? I have a few weddings to attend this spring/summer, so those would be good for gifts (especially getting $10 back!). Anyone??? Thanks in advance!

I also don’t have the Just for U in my area yet…guess it wasn’t worth waiting for. Bummer.

Abigail, it is featured in the ad. Just check your ad for the gift cards included in your area. If you have any problems take the weekly ad to customer service and ask them to please honor their promotion.

Thank you!!! I accidently threw my ad away, but I’ll be sure to grab one at the entrance, just in case.
