I wanted to work through some scenario ideas for Huggies and for Scott TP this week since there is a fantastic promotion at Rite Aid. Spend $30 on select Kimberly Clark items and get $10 +Up back.
There is a limit of (2) +Up Rewards. Here are two ideas for a heck of a deal on diapers or toilet paper. I’d love to hear what you guys have cooked up as well!
{Deal Idea #1- best case for diapers}
Buy 1 packs Huggies at $8.97
Buy 1 pack Little Swimmers at $6.97
Use $3/15 Rite Aid coupon from the bottom of a prior receipt
Use $3/1 printable Huggies coupon
and Use $2/1 Huggies Little Swimmers, exp. 6-11-11 (SS 05/15/11)
Use $1/1 ad perk coupon for Huggies
Pay $6.94Transaction #2:
Buy 1 packs Huggies at $8.97
Buy 1 pack Little Swimmers at $6.97
Use $3/15 Rite Aid coupon from the bottom of a prior receipt
Use $3/1 printable Huggies coupon
and Use $2/1 Huggies Little Swimmers, exp. 6-11-11 (SS 05/15/11)
Use $1/1 ad perk coupon for any non prescription item
Pay $6.94
So if you don’t have any +Up at all, this works out to $13.88 out of pocket. Once you do that second transaction, the $10 +Up will print, so your net price for all 4 packs is $3.88.
ALSO if your store carries Juicy Juice, you can try using the FREE Juicy Juice wyb Huggies Little Swimmers, exp. 7-31 (ALL YOU Jun) to get a pack of juice free!
{Deal Idea #2- Get Your TP on…}
Buy 2 packs of Scott TP 20 ct for $12.97
Buy 2 Kotex at $3.50 each
Use $3/15 Rite Aid coupon from the bottom of a prior receipt
Use (2) $1/1 Scott Bath Tissue, exp. 6-19-11 (SS 05/08/11)
and Use $2/2 Kotex from 5/15 SS
Pay $25.94 and get back a $10 +Up Reward. If you have the $1 Scott TP ad perk coupon from last month even better!*If you don’t need Kotex, you can buy 5 packs of Kleenex and use the $.50/2 coupon from All You April and the math works out the same.
So I am pretty rusty with the Rite Aid transactions but I think those should work out to pretty fantastic deals!
Jenae says
So to get the $10 Up Rewards, you just need to spend $30 total using your Rewards Card…even if it’s not all in one transaction? I’m very new to Rite Aid and still learning how their policies work, but I’m super excited to get a sweet deal on diapers this week!

Transaction #2:

Bought 4 boxes Kleenex .97 each

Getting ready to head to RA and it is $30 total before coupons and then you use your coupons and you get your reward. I just want to make sure that it isn’t after coupons. Thanks this will make a great deal for some pull ups.
Charlene says
Tina- I rarely shop at RA but it should be $30 before coupons. If you do 2 transactions, you can be certain by checking the bottom of your receipt and it will say how much you earned toward that promotion.
amy says
Ooooh…I didn’t know it was limit 2! I will have to come up with another transaction idea!
I went in this morning and here’s what I did:
4 Huggies – $8.97 each
– $3/$15 coupon
– $1 huggies adperk coupon
– $1 any non-prescription item adperk coupon
– $1 any non-prescription item adperk coupon (There are 2 different ones on the adperk site and the cashier took them both without a problem)
– (4) $3 huggies coupons
Total OOP = $17.88 (+tax) and got back $10 UPS
That makes that out to $1.97 per pack!!!! I am thrilled because with baby #5 on the way, it is time to stock up on diapers!
bree says
I thought I would check to make sure it was pre-coupon total too and can the UP rewards be used toward more little swimmers if they were bought to earn the UP rewards or can it only be applied to a different item, I thought I had heard that at one point.
amy says
Charlene…can I use the $10 UP that I got this morning to do another transaction and still get another $10 UP since the limit is 2???? I don’t shop Rite-Aid much, so I’m not totally familiar with it. If I can do that, you bet your bum, I’m going back for more diapers!!!
kim says
I spend almost an 1 arguing about a new coupon policy. My cashier told me that I have to pick which coupon do i want to use since I can only use 4 coupons per transaction. I thought they limited 4 identical coupons per transaction not the total of 4 coupons? anyway I left without my baby diapers and I was very upset due to the rudeness of my cashier and her lack of coupon policy educate. I love to shop at Rite Aid but I don’t think I want to go back there ever again it’s not worth it with all of the argument and the new coupon policy. Good luck to you all 🙂
kim says
sorry, I missed spell I mean ” I spend almost an hour arguing”
Sarah H. says
Charlene, I LOVE your RA matchups. I wish you would consider doing them again. I haven’t shopped there in over a month since no one else’s matchups compare to yours! I know you’re super busy and there just isn’t time. Maybe switch RA for Walgreens every other week? I just can’t get into Walgreens since their coupon policies are a little too complicated. Thanks a million times over for all you do!
Oksana says
Question: If you buy several of the same item in one transaction and you use a video values coupon, does it take off the amount of coupon once or times the item? I was thinking of diapers, there is a $1 video coupon, if I buy 4 pckgs of diapers, will it take off just $1 or $4? Thank you!
Charlene says
Oksana, The way the ad perk/VV coupons is that you get one. So that is one and only one no matter what 🙂 I think people might cheat and print extras, I can’t tell you what happens but I know they are intended for one single use regardless of how many you buy. I only included one in the matchups for that reason.
Charlene says
Hey Sarah, I hear ya. I don’t know what to do. The weeks get away from me and I just never get to Rite Aid. I keep telling myself I have to do something especially this week with that amazing deal on Huggies that was totally skipped over. I have commitments to other sites that use my Walgreens deals so I can’t stop doing those. CVS is like a walk in the park compared to all the other stores so that is no biggie to do. The thing with RA is that some ads can take hours and I really mean hours and hours to do. So I have to see next week what happens but trust me it is as the top of my mind each week.
Charlene says
Amy- you betcha. It says limit 2 so if you have any drama you can call and they push through the +Up and mail it to you. Just check the ad because I have not even opened the CA ad yet. Remember you need $10 before tax. If it is 9.99 they won’t let you use it.
Charlene says
Bree sorry I dunno. RA makes my head hurt so I don’t shop there. I guess my thought is that the ad states limit 2. It doesn’t state- limit 2 but only if… so I don’t see how they can not give you the 2nd +Up no matter what don’t you think?
Jenae says
So the ad says “limit 2”. I just wanted to clarify that means that we can do this transaction twice (hitting $30 in participating products each time) and get the $10 up Rewards back BOTH times. Is this correct?
Rachel R. says
In my experience, if it says limit 2 in the section about “buy $30 worth of Kimberly Clark, get $10 +Up”, that means 2 +Up rewards. It obviously takes more than 2 items to reach the $30 so it really can’t mean that. Hope this helps.
Rachel R. says
Also, you can “roll” +Up rewards. It is not like Walgreens at all.
Jamie says
Please keep the RiteAid deals coming!! I went to RA today for 2 transactions, this is what I spent (before tax).
1st transaction 4 packs of diapers at $8.97.
– 3/$15 coupon
– $1 huggies adperk coupon
– $1 any non-prescription item adperk coupon
– (2) $3 huggies coupons
– (2) $2 huggies coupons
TOTAL= $20.88 (I got $10 in UP Rewards)
2nd Transaction – 20 rolls Scott TP $12.97
-$10 UP Reward
-$1.50 Scott coupon
TOTAL= $1.47
Total cost for both transactions = $22.35 (Before Tax)
Jessica says
Hi Charlene – Just curious if you (or any other reader who is reading this) has done the suggested scenario? I had no idea that RA accumlated your totals for UP’s like they do for SCR’s. It has always been my experience that the total required, in this case $30, has to be in one transaction. I shop RA pretty much weekly, but have never done it this way. It would totally change the way I plan my transactions.
Lisa J says
I haven’t been to RA for awhile, how does the $3/15 coupon from the bottom of the receipt work? Are people always getting that printed off the bottom of every receipt, or are there certain conditions to it showing up on your receipt? I would love to score on the great diaper deal, but don’t have those $3/15 coupons. If it prints on every receipt I would just buy a candy bar or something first to get the coupon. Help!
meryl says
I had seen this on another blog- done twice, but the poster said the kotex q exp Sat? It’s still an awesome price for diaps!
3 huggies jumbo packs (8.97 x3= 26.91)
1 package of u by kotex panty liners 3.50
before coupon total 30.41
(3) $3 off 1 huggies coupons
$1 off kotex
3 off $15 survey
total=$17 + $10up reward
Charlene says
Lisa, I would suggest that. Each time I have shopped the coupon prints but I don’t know if it is 100% of the time.
Caroline says
I can’t get the Ad Perk coupons to print – the videos will not show up. All plugins are installed and we have tried it on all 3 computers in our house. Am I doing something wrong?! If the videos are for June, might they not be available till June?! That’s the only thing I can think of as I’ve managed to play videos before. Thanks!
Chris says
So if I spend $30 and get 10up back will I get another 10up back if I spend another $30 and use the 10up I just got back from the first $30? I know if you do that at walgreens you would’nt get it back any RR for using em on like proctucts.
Charlene says
Chris, no other store has the same quirks that Walgreens gas so those rules only apply at walgreens.
Melissa says
@Lisa J… the $3/15 isn’t an actual coupon that prints on receipts. It’s a survey invitation. You have to go home, take a survey, and then print your coupon. It’s hit or miss. I don’t think there’s anything you can do to make one print. I got a lot in the beginning and now it seems to be tapering off. The more transactions you do, obviously the more chances you have, though.
I’m going to combine the TP / diaper deals… a little something for all of us. : ) Here’s my plan:
Transaction 1:
1 Scott TP–$12.97
2 Huggies–$8.97 x 2 = 17.94
Total: $30.91
$3/15
$1 Huggies ad perk
$2.50 Scott TP (printed out of the catalina machine at Kroger, but it’s a manufacturer’s, so shouldn’t be a problem… I hope)
$1 Scott TP ad perk (last month)
(2) $3 Huggies
(2) $1 ad perks (non-prescription items)
$5 UP from last week
Total OOP= $11.41
Get $10 UP
Transaction 2:
1 Scott TP–$12.97
2 Huggies–$8.97 x 2 = 17.94
Total: $30.91
$1/1 Scott Bath Tissue, exp. 6-19-11 (SS 05/08/11)
(2) $3 Huggies
$10 UP from previous transaction
Total OOP= $13.91
Get $10 UP
Stacie says
I went to Rite Aid tonight. I bought 2 packs of the $12.97 tp. It was CLEARLY marked in THREE different places. My total came to $40 something before coupons. I thought it was high, but I didn’t calculate until I got the car….Long story short…The tp wasn’t $12.97 like the signs said, it was $15.29 and 16 rolls rather than 20. I didn’t qualify for the $10 up either because of this mess. I went back in, and I got my $5 back for being overcharged, and he gave me $10 in cash instead of the up. (all very nice of him) But it was so frustrating. He said they knew it was the wrong size, but they didn’t have the right size. So WHY put up all the signs???
Anyway, it worked out fine since I got the money back, but I still only got 32 rolls of tp instead of 40. And what a huge pain in the rear!
Rachel R. says
I did the diaper deal in two transactions on Sunday without problem and got one $10 +Up. Today, I went back in and did two more transactions to hit the $30 (I had two survey coupons to use) and my +Up didn’t print. I bought the same Kimberly Clark items that I did on Sunday (3 Huggies jumbo packs and 4 boxes of Kleenex). I don’t think the second +Up is tracking. I called customer service but they can’t see the transactions for 24 hours so I will be calling back tomorrow. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up!
Sara says
I was informed by an employee that the survey invite only appears on a max of three receipts a month. I got three last month and that was it.
Joyce says
I was just wondering if anyone had an extra $3/15 survey coupon code from a prior receipt they weren’t planning on using. I’m trying to do the Huggies deal to get some diapers for my 6 month old. Thank you in advance. [email protected]

I know this is a little after the conversation haha but I just wanted to comment on the using multiple video value coupons. I use to be a cheater and print more than one and they use to work but that was when they first started them. Since then though they’ve changed it and your wellness card now keeps track and will only let you use the coupons code once and won’t except anymore, even on a seperate transaction.
Charlene says
Ok thanks for letting me know Jennifer!
