I am massively excited about this. I saw that Whole Foods is offering organic strawberries for $1.99/lb this Friday a few days ago. At first I thought it was just at my store but it appears to be nationwide!
I have been so jealous of all the amazing deals on strawberries this spring but we decided to switch to organic for the dirty dozen items this year and there have not been any great deals on organic so far.
So if you are into Organic there will be a great deal Friday only in store while supplies last. I don’t see any kind of limit.
I literally just emptied the last of our strawberry jam from last year so I will be getting several lbs myself.

Thats a great deal,” although, “while supplies last” always makes me nervous! lol If you can find a CSA with organic strawberries, that helps price too. We got 3-4 baskets of organic strawberries for $10 from our guy all summer long last year.
Bought 8 lbs today and am going to make jam. There were lots and lots of strawberries at my Whole Foods in San Rafael. Out front, in the produce section, in the back, near the cash registers… Plenty of strawberries to be had.
I took advantage of this deal as well. I didn’t go until evening because I forgot about the strawberry sale. I had meant to be there early and when I realized I’d forgotten I was in total panic, but they had PLENTY still available! I bought two cases, and when you buy a case or more you get an additional discount. I ended up getting 16 packs for less than $30. I was stoked. I made a TON of jam, which I’m very pleased about. My gran was visiting a while back and turned my 4-year-old onto jam/jelly…I had never let him have it. I feel much better letting him have it since it’s homemade and I know I used all organic ingredients! I wish they had sales like these more often. And on raspberries…his fave!
