April 8-12 is educator appreciation days at Borders stores. Teachers can head in and get 30% off the list price of any item for the classroom with proof of educator status. If you want to go in on Saturday 9th, they are offering free tote bags while supplies last- again this is just for teachers pre-k-12 and college educators with proof of educator status.
I would imagine these totes would go pretty quickly.
They are also offering a $1 book sale- there are no specifics on this but just the reference to “hundreds of items $1.00 and up” in store only.
Finally, you can get 33% off one item with the Borders coupon here.
You will need to be a Borders Rewards member to use the coupon but it is free to join.

Thanks for this- I’ll have to let my teacher friends know 🙂
The school that I teach at does not issue id cards so I took in my curriculum planning guide. After a little discussion, they let me make my discounted purchase and I even scored the bag. I asked about $1 books and the saleslady looked at me like I was crazy. She pointed me to the bargain book section, but it was the usual junk books all $5 or more. I at least did score the bag, a new book for me, and both of my son’s Summer Bridge school/activity books all for $30.
