I told you about this yesterday and I wanted to let you know I did pop into CVS this morning to test it and it worked fine for me.
This week CVS has Listerine on sale for just $1 and there is a new $2/2 Listerine coupon that does not have any size restrictions. So my total was .17 for tax for 2 bottles!
The coupon does beep but they pushed it right through.

I wish we have CVS in utah ๐

This is the Listerine/Colgate/Reach promo 5/$5 right? When I was at Safeway yesterday, there were $1/1 any Reach floss coupons on the shelf for the taking.
Tricia says
Target also has the travel size Listerine Total Care for .97. So free when you buy two. The cashier had to push it through for me, too, but it worked.
Erin says
Awesome deal! Ty!! I will test it out tom!! If it works at one cvs ill try it at another!!
Morgan says
My CVS would not accept it. They called the Supervisor and then had me call corporate. Corporate told me if a printed mnf coupon bleeps, they are not allowed to push it throw. I think this might just be my CVS, which is frustrating.

Hey guys look at your receipt, i tried to get 2 bottles this morning, so i knew i should pay only .19 cents (tax) because they are 1 each, but my total went to 4 something, weird, but instead of discount me 2 they charged me 2 dollars with the coupon, when i look at the receip there says 2 items taxable, of course went back to the store and asked for a refund and they did, i don’t know if that happen just to me , then i went to a different store on my way to work, and again instead of get discount, they charge 2, weir ,weird, weird, look at your recept for the taxable item!

My CVS didn’t accept this today. ๐ They try 4 times

i did this morning, it beeped and she asked me if it was photocopied. She asked me nicely but still kinda surprised me. She eventually got it to work. but I wont be using another one.
Dee says
Hubby went for me today…again… and got 4 for $0 with no problems. When he went yesterday and they were sold out. He didn’t know to ask for a rain check. By the time my leg is healed, I will have him thoroughly trained. ๐
Morgan says
Your husband is so sweet to do that for you Dee! Maybe I’ll see if my husband has better luck than I did with this deal ๐
Charlene says
Morgan- you can take that CVS ad to Target or Walmart too and ask for a price match ๐ The coupon will still be a beeper.
Morgan says
Oh, thanks for the tip Charlene! I will try Target, many of those cashiers are awesome. I didn’t realize they did the price matching with CVS, exciting!
Mandy says
I had the same problem at my CVS today. It beeped, and then added $4 to my total instead of taking $4 off (I was using 2 of the $2/2 coupon). They told me they would not manually key in a coupon anymore and then proceeded to tell me it would not work because the mouthwash was only $1 and the coupons would make it free! Well duh!! ๐ Bummer, I really needed some mouthwash!!
Jenna says
Got 4 this morning for $0.24tax. Did beep, she read coupon and pushed it through ๐
mia says
same thing happened to be, coupon wasn’t working and she charged me $2 for 2 bottles, because they were 5/$5, then I told her it doesn’t make sense for me to pay for them if I have a $2 off coupon for them, which she found weird too, anyway she worked at it and I got them for free, along the palmolive dishwashing liquid, I just hope this doesn’t happen again, and manufacturers should be more responsible at issuing coupons that don’t cause inconveniences to customers…and cashiers!
AJ says
Someone pointed out on another coupon site that the $2/2 coupon code starts with 9 instead of a 5?
What does that mean?
Charlene says
AJ- I will get back to you on this in just a bit.
Charlene says
Ok AJ- so I am not a barcode expert by any stretch here but this is what I think is the problem.
The 9 I don’t think matters- that is either a 9 or 5 and has to do with whether the coupon will double.
I think the issue is this coupon is coded to be Buy 3, Get 1 Free. See the “19” at the end of the barcode? I think that is usually Buy 3 Get 1 not $2/2. I printed the Easter Candy coupon today- Buy 2 and save $2 and that one is coded properly at “51”. So the Listerine coupon is messed up and that is the reason. It is a perfectly valid coupon just someone didn’t code it properly which is where all the trouble is coming from. Either a store will simply push the coupon through or you have to try another store.
R. Mac says
I went in and got a rain check…even at a dollar its a really good deal!
Jessica says
Yeah, I knew something was wrong with that coupon. I did the deal 3 times at 2 different stores and it added $2 to my total each time as well. They pushed it through though.
