When I was at Target today I noticed purple dot items were 75% off in the Dollar Spot. I absolutely love this time because you can really find great merchandise for just .25 each!
I usually try to find things to put away for Operation Christmas Child boxes, or for little treats for the girls or even to put away as favors for birthday parties.
Today I found 4 books priced at $.25 each, 2 packages of Batman crayons for .25 (those are for the Christmas boxes or maybe Easter baskets), socks .25 (I think these look like Yo Gabba Gabba), large alphabet letters .25 (I am taking these in to preschool) and a little file folder for .25- (hello coupons!)
So keep an eye out at your store for any signs indicating the clearance!
*If you are not familiar with the dollar spot it is an area usually at the front of the store where almost everything is priced at $1. You will want to look for clearance signs- they usually indicate a certain color (like purple dot) items are on clearance. Flip the items over that you are interested in and you should see a colored dot.
In this case everything was 75% off which makes each item .25.

I just stopped of at a store in Sacramento and it was 50% off. I actually grabbed the crayons too. We have birthday parties coming up so still a good deal but not quite 75% yet.

My store had the purple dots 50% off the other day, then I went to check today and there was no sign. So I did a price check and it said item could not be found. So when I went to check out I told the cashier what happened and asked him to scan it to tell me how much the stuff was. Very rudely he said “It’s marked a dollar” and sighed. When he scanned it an error screen came up and told him to enter the price. It was just a fail. I hate when I get a completely unhelpful cashier.
