I don’t have AT&T service so I haven’t tested this out but it looks like they are offering 1,000 free minutes to customers when you text yes to 11113020.
This promotion was intended for iPhone users specifically but it seems to be working for everyone.
Keep in mind normal text message rates will apply.
Thanks Chia!
(You can call AT&T or you can email them at: [email protected] if you want to verify this offer.)
UPDATE: I did call AT&T to verify this before I posted. I was told this was legitimate and to enjoy the bonus minutes. I do not have anything in writing from them promising this is a legitimate offer. Since AT&T has not directly released something for everyone to see I would encourage you to call them or email them for yourself before you take advantage of this offer.

tisha says
awesome!! it works!! LOVE this!
Tonya says
Cool thanks, I just did it and it says, ” Thank you for accepting our free 1000 bonus Rollover minute offer. Please allow up to 4 weeks for processing.” I can always use more minutes!
felicity says
what are you saying yes to> ? i amgoing to be signed up for something?
Nattachaa says
I worked for me!! It says 1000 mintues will be credited and it take 4 weeks to process, so we will see!!

Pretty cool – it works!

I have ATT but I never use the minutes I have… I really need to do something about our cell phone plan. It is frustrating. We have the smallest family plan just 550 minutes and just our 2 phones… I recently added a data package for DH because he travels around all day and it is nice for him to be able to check his email. I wish they had options to lower the minutes and add data and messaging… Boo:-(
Charlene says
Felicity you are saying yes to getting 1000 free minutes. There was a text sent out to AT&T customers this morning telling them to respond if they wanted 1000 free minutes as a thank you from AT&T. I believe it was only sent to iPhone users but it is actually working for everyone now.
I would recommend calling AT&T or emailing them before you try it just to be totally and completely certain:

This is likely a pull to customers, since Verizon just announced iPhones to be used with their service

We carry a family AT&T cell phone plan with regular cell phones, (but not with the iPhone). All three of us (my husband, daughter and myself) just used this text promo code, and each of us got a separate reply back that reads “Thank you for accepting our free 1000 bonus rollover minute offer. Please allow up to 4 weeks for processing.” Can’t wait to see this credit applied to our account.
Charlene says
Yes Sheila you are right on 🙂
Colleen says
Worked for me. Thanks!

I just called AT&T and they said its not true! Hope you guys aren’t being scamed!

I have AT&T service, have an IPhone – did not get the text this morning, but tried this and got a response…. looks promising!!! THanks <3

I just talked to At&T and he said he never hear anything about this and not to do it.
Felinda says
I have ATT and use a Blackberry. This worked for me. Love free minutes 🙂
Denise says
Hi there,
I just spoke with ATT Customer Care (dial 611 from your ATT phone if you want to) and she tested it and read the info and said it is a valid offer! 🙂
THANK YOU!!

I work for a calling center I can verify this is legit however the memo we received said it’s going to ya 6-8 weeks to reflect the credit.
Brandy says
Stephanie, I have the same prob. We have too many minutes and it’s expensive. I have an old Nokia and my husband has an old flip phone. The trick is that we can’t get new phones (since the flip phone is about broken) for a reasonable price under like $200 each (for the cheapies!!!) unless we sign up for a 2 year data package or something like that.
I’m thinking about buying one from the internet. Someone’s old phone and just switching the sim card.
jose says
What about prepaid pay as you go??? … Since i dont talk too much i use the .10 per minute… it worked when i send the message… i’ll wait the 4 weeks for procesing and see what happens… colud yo imagine if they give the 1000 minutes, it would be 100 bucks worth… lol
ann b says
do you need to be an AT&T customer already?i
Chessie says
What did we sign up for? I called AT&T and they had not heard of this!
Charlene says
Chessie- I called the iphone support before posting and WAS told this was legitimate. I used 611 from an iphone with AT&T and was told it was absolutely valid and the rep called it “bonus minutes”. I would never, ever sign up for anything that you are not comfortable with.
Charlene says
Everyone else- I don’t work for AT&T and I don’t see a press release from them with any specific information about exactly what plans and services qualify. I would encourage you to contact them directly with all of your questions.
Melissa says
I have an iPhone and received the text this morning and did reply yes 2 get the bonus minutes. I didn’t get the text on our other 2 phones which r not iPhones. I figured this was a special promo since they don’t have a monopoly on the iPhone anymore. It would b nice 2 c the rates reduced by the competition since I now have a choice.
Janey says
My husband and I both have iPhones with AT&T and neither of us got this text offering the bonus minutes. I’m very leary of trying this simply because I have a gut feeling that some way, somehow they’re using it as a way to sign you up for some “service” to add a charge to your monthly bill.
I dug around on google and it appears to be legitimate but it’s supposed to be for iPhone users only. I went ahead and tried it and got the confirmation text back. I’ll be sure to keep a close eye out on our bill. 😉
Amy Moore says
Wow! I have 2 GoPhones and sent the text with both and got an immediate reply for accepting the 1000 bonus rollover minute offer. Thanks Frugal Adventures!!
Charlene says
Janey why not just call 611 from your phone and ask them if the offer is available and if there are any strings attached?
Stephanie says
A friend of mine is a store manager at our local AT&T store – she added the following to this deal (Evansville, IN):
“This is designed to qualify you for home services and try to sell you the product but yes they will give you 1000 rollover minutes if they can send you a quote for home service. I will also do the same when you sign up for home service of any kind at my store (330 n Burkhardt) and I’ll sweeten the deal! Do it in conjunction with a new line or upgrade and I’ll waive the activation fee or upgrade fee thru the end of March! Call for details 8122059092”
Gretchan says
According to the Apple Blogs it looks like when you say yes that you are opting in to receiving unsolicited texts and emails from AT&T and anyone they choose to sell your info to. Also the email was not sent out to iPhone users who have a family plan. To me this is not worth allowing AT&T to freely do with my info as they choose.
christen says
thanks charlene. i’d love an extra 1000 minutes. i have an iphone on a family plan and did not receive the email, but i’m hoping i get the bonus anyway. i figure i have nothing to lose. and to the people saying that they dont want the extra text or email promotions…just text STOP to any ATT text they send you and they will stop.
stephanie says
I tried the code and THEN read the comments. I called AT&T and asked them about it. They said I could text STOP to the same number as a possible fix. I did and received a message back that said I had “Opted Out of AT&T marketing messages.” Yikes! Glad I called!
Joy says
My son got it on his text phone by texting the number and code with no problem.
