I have pulled together several giveaways in honor of a big event around here. It is the second birthday of My Frugal Adventures! It seems like MFA has been part of our lives forever- and as my husband refers to it (affectionately and sometimes not so affectionately) is our third child.
So no birthday is complete without presents of course so I wanted to kick off our little birthday party with an awesome giveaway courtesy of Home Depot!

They are offering big discounts on products for the bathroom as well as in store experts and online tools to help you find the perfect products to complete your project. The sale runs from 1/20-2/23 and features deep discounts on all sorts of items.
As some of you might know, we have been in the midst of never ending home renovation projects. We originally intended to spruce up the kitchen a little. Well we wound up with serious water damage in the kitchen, master bathroom and the kid’s bathroom that resulted in gutting all three rooms. I am very happy to say that our final project (the master bath) just had the shower doors installed today and we have finally finished all three projects! Needless to say, Home Depot has been a second home to us for the past several months!
Now that we have 2 gorgeous new bathrooms it makes our guest bathroom even more of an eyesore. The original owners of our house made very… shall we say taste specific- choices for the house. (Including lots of brass fixtures and oak cabinets!) So our tiny guest bath is truly horrific with laminate wood floors, brass fixtures and gray marble. It is really something else.
We are certainly not in the mood for another full scale renovation, but we decided to see how much we could do on a very small budget.
So here is a little peek at the current state of the guest bath. The room is dark and depressing and is sadly the only bathroom on the main floor of the house. So it needs serious help for sure. I am super excited to start shopping at Home Depot and see what we can do to fix up this bathroom on a tight budget.
We already started looking around last weekend and we found vanities starting at $99!

We aren’t doing a bathroom remodel but would like to do a “green” makeover. We want to replace all of our recessed lighting with the new energy friendly lights and we have over 30 bulbs in our house. This would go a long way towards being eco friendly!

Wow, this is the giveaway for me! I bought a fixer-upper a few years ago and have been fixing up as I gather the money… a window here and a window there. I would use this money for something I wasnt sure if I was going to replace or not because it works just fine. The previous owner left a cigarette burning on my sink top and it left a long slender dark brown burn mark on the cream top. the faucet is very outdated as well, but they both still work just fine! I would replace the sink and faucet… or maybe a whole new vanity since you say they have some for $99!

Well, we redid our bathroom when we moved in to some extent, but I could really use some sort of metal art work to hang on the wall to finish it off.

I would definitely buy new paint, the glue is even starting to peel from the awesome Chinese wallpaper left from the previous owner. I would also buy some caulk to “fill in” around the baseboards/molding.”
Since we are renting, I would get a over the toilet storage ( the ones that stand over the toilet). I would have an organized place to put medicines finally ( sadly no med cab in there).
