I have pulled together several giveaways in honor of a big event around here. It is the second birthday of My Frugal Adventures! It seems like MFA has been part of our lives forever- and as my husband refers to it (affectionately and sometimes not so affectionately) is our third child.
So no birthday is complete without presents of course so I wanted to kick off our little birthday party with an awesome giveaway courtesy of Home Depot!

The sale runs from 1/20-2/23 and features deep discounts on all sorts of items.
As some of you might know, we have been in the midst of never ending home renovation projects. We originally intended to spruce up the kitchen a little. Well we wound up with serious water damage in the kitchen, master bathroom and the kid’s bathroom that resulted in gutting all three rooms. I am very happy to say that our final project (the master bath) just had the shower doors installed today and we have finally finished all three projects! Needless to say, Home Depot has been a second home to us for the past several months!
Now that we have 2 gorgeous new bathrooms it makes our guest bathroom even more of an eyesore. The original owners of our house made very… shall we say taste specific- choices for the house. (Including lots of brass fixtures and oak cabinets!) So our tiny guest bath is truly horrific with laminate wood floors, brass fixtures and gray marble. It is really something else.
We are certainly not in the mood for another full scale renovation, but we decided to see how much we could do on a very small budget.
So here is a little peek at the current state of the guest bath. The room is dark and depressing and is sadly the only bathroom on the main floor of the house. So it needs serious help for sure. I am super excited to start shopping at Home Depot and see what we can do to fix up this bathroom on a tight budget.
We already started looking around last weekend and we found vanities starting at $99!

A new mirror and fixtures!!
I’d like to start off by saying I Looooove MFA! But I will definitely LIKE it on FB!!! Anyways, I would love to touch up my bathroom with a new beautiful vanity possibly one with the glass bowl and modern spout, even a new light fixture to match! My bathroom could use major updating not to mention my kitten has started this new game where she sticks her paw down the drain when the water is turned on, I’m deathly worried about her getting it caught!!! I check in here everyday and I promise If you pick me I will be forever faithful to MFA and make sure to let you know of any deals I hear of!!! PLEASE PLEASE PICK ME!

I would get new lighting
Oh, this would come in super handy as our one and only full bathroom is terrible! It is all original 1980s and definitely needs a makeover. We would use it towards a new vanity, faucet, tub/shower, floor – everything!

Wood to do board & batten!!
I would like new shower faucets for my bathroom and to tile it.
I follow you on Facebook as well. Our shower needs help! I’m afraid we will have a serious mold problem if we don’t do something about it. I don’t even know what we need (my husband probably does), but I’m sure we can find it at Home Depot!

Lighting, and definitely shelving above the toilet.
Our 60 year old house needs a lot of work, but I would start with new faucets in the bathroom sink and bathtub, and new paint for the cabinets, which are currently peeling!

We bought our first home in September (yea!!). Although most of the house was updated by the previous owners, the bathrooms are original — pink, mint green and yellow tile. So replacing that tile would be first on my list!
