I have pulled together several giveaways in honor of a big event around here. It is the second birthday of My Frugal Adventures! It seems like MFA has been part of our lives forever- and as my husband refers to it (affectionately and sometimes not so affectionately) is our third child.
So no birthday is complete without presents of course so I wanted to kick off our little birthday party with an awesome giveaway courtesy of Home Depot!
Home Depot is launching a Renew and Redo sale at stores nationwide. They are offering big discounts on products for the bathroom as well as in store experts and online tools to help you find the perfect products to complete your project. The sale runs from 1/20-2/23 and features deep discounts on all sorts of items.
As some of you might know, we have been in the midst of never ending home renovation projects. We originally intended to spruce up the kitchen a little. Well we wound up with serious water damage in the kitchen, master bathroom and the kid’s bathroom that resulted in gutting all three rooms. I am very happy to say that our final project (the master bath) just had the shower doors installed today and we have finally finished all three projects! Needless to say, Home Depot has been a second home to us for the past several months!
Now that we have 2 gorgeous new bathrooms it makes our guest bathroom even more of an eyesore. The original owners of our house made very… shall we say taste specific- choices for the house. (Including lots of brass fixtures and oak cabinets!) So our tiny guest bath is truly horrific with laminate wood floors, brass fixtures and gray marble. It is really something else.
We are certainly not in the mood for another full scale renovation, but we decided to see how much we could do on a very small budget.
So here is a little peek at the current state of the guest bath. The room is dark and depressing and is sadly the only bathroom on the main floor of the house. So it needs serious help for sure. I am super excited to start shopping at Home Depot and see what we can do to fix up this bathroom on a tight budget.
We already started looking around last weekend and we found vanities starting at $99!
I am very happy to say that Home Depot has provided me with one $100 gift card to pass along to a lucky reader to help you get started on a little makeover of your own!
This giveaway will run through Sunday 30th and you have two chances to win.

What a great give-a-way! We have been gathering supplies for the last year to redo the bathroom in the 1967 house we bought last October (2009), it has been a slow process and every little bit helps!
I need a mirror for our basement bathroom, but I’ll use the one from our guest bath for the basement and get a nice mirror for the guest bath.
We need a new faucet and sink. My 3 yr. old has a hard time with our ancient faucet since she has to pull-up to turn on the water. I’d love to also get rid of our clam shape sink! We have a very dated bathroom – LOL!

I would redo the awful brown tile in my master bathroom. Whoever thought it was a good idea to use the same gross tile for the counter, floor and shower/tub had a serious taste problem 🙂
I also subscribe via email.
I would use the gift card to retouch some of the finishes in our home as we plan on putting our house on the market in the next year or so.
I would buy mirrors 🙂
I’d love to get a better water-efficient toilet and showerhead
i also “like” MFA on facebook.
What don’t we need for the upstairs bathroom!! But my next project would be to work on the tub – water is leaking and starting to damage the wall on the side of the tub. So I need to repair that and then paint! This would be VERY helpful…fingers crossed!!
I would love a new mirror and showerhead.
I also follow on FB 🙂
I would probably get a new vanity. Ours is in okay shape but it is only a pedestal sink which has no space to put anything on. With only a 1 1/2 bath, we need all the room we can get!
I receive your e-mail and I like you on facebook.

I would buy new lighting fixtures.
My bathroom has been in disrepair for quite some time. I would put the gift card towards sheetrock and a new sink.
My bathroom is still a mess from Hurricane Ike. It needs flooring, a new tub/shower and vanity. $100 would be a great start on a new bathroom after living with this one now for 2.5 years. Thanks. I “like” you on facebook.
We are currently redoing pipes under the sink (ugh!) and it would be awesome to have this gift card to get a new vanity since we have all that pulled out anyway. Our pipes rotted and flooded the bathroom one morning. (Not a great start to that day). The house was built in the 70s and let’s just say the stuff isn’t all that beautiful in it.

I am desperately in need of some storage space in my master bathroom. All I have is a horrific (cheap) medicine cabinet. I would love to add some kind of cabinets for storage.
