I have pulled together several giveaways in honor of a big event around here. It is the second birthday of My Frugal Adventures! It seems like MFA has been part of our lives forever- and as my husband refers to it (affectionately and sometimes not so affectionately) is our third child.
So no birthday is complete without presents of course so I wanted to kick off our little birthday party with an awesome giveaway courtesy of Home Depot!
Home Depot is launching a Renew and Redo sale at stores nationwide. They are offering big discounts on products for the bathroom as well as in store experts and online tools to help you find the perfect products to complete your project. The sale runs from 1/20-2/23 and features deep discounts on all sorts of items.
As some of you might know, we have been in the midst of never ending home renovation projects. We originally intended to spruce up the kitchen a little. Well we wound up with serious water damage in the kitchen, master bathroom and the kid’s bathroom that resulted in gutting all three rooms. I am very happy to say that our final project (the master bath) just had the shower doors installed today and we have finally finished all three projects! Needless to say, Home Depot has been a second home to us for the past several months!
Now that we have 2 gorgeous new bathrooms it makes our guest bathroom even more of an eyesore. The original owners of our house made very… shall we say taste specific- choices for the house. (Including lots of brass fixtures and oak cabinets!) So our tiny guest bath is truly horrific with laminate wood floors, brass fixtures and gray marble. It is really something else.
We are certainly not in the mood for another full scale renovation, but we decided to see how much we could do on a very small budget.
So here is a little peek at the current state of the guest bath. The room is dark and depressing and is sadly the only bathroom on the main floor of the house. So it needs serious help for sure. I am super excited to start shopping at Home Depot and see what we can do to fix up this bathroom on a tight budget.
We already started looking around last weekend and we found vanities starting at $99!
I am very happy to say that Home Depot has provided me with one $100 gift card to pass along to a lucky reader to help you get started on a little makeover of your own!
This giveaway will run through Sunday 30th and you have two chances to win.

HOLY HECK! This could not be more perfect! We built a new home last year, nothing fancy, but uh, one thing we couldn’t afford was a shower door for our master bathroom, so we have to have the showehead pointed as far down as possible and we have a rug right outside so that the floor doesn’t soak, so no doubt it woudl go towards a shower door!!!!!!!!
Awesome giveaway. seriously, you’re just awesome. I love this blog! I live on it!
I would get new light fixtures!
I would get rid of my glass doors on my shower (hard to give the baby a bath with those doors) and get a new vanity/mirror. Oh ya and paint!!!!! and Oh ya…….new fixtures!!!!!! Goodness, I could go on forever now that I think about it! AND you said to tell you about our bonus entry so I just wanted to let you know I “like” you on facebook (and in real life I’m sure if I knew you….lol)!!!! Thanks for this opportunity
We are going to retile our bath.
we bought an old farm house 8 years ago that needed a complete gut-out and remodel. My husband and I were engaged, and for some reason he took his sister along to home depot to pick out a sink for our bathroom (instead of his FUTURE WIFE: me.) To this day I hate that pedastool sink with shell cut-outs for soap that his sister chose for our bathroom. If I were to win the gift card, I would immediately use it for a new bathroom vanity (hello storage!) – that would be incredible!
*facebook fan as well, going to follow you now on twitter!*
thanks!
I follow you on facebook.
I am a facebook fan! And I would love a new tile floor in our only bathroom!
oh you KNOW I like you on facebook (and am subscribed)
I would love to get window treatments for the bathroom, so the neighbors can’t watch us anymore. LOL
I would love to get new light fixtures for my hallway

I would buy a new toilet and tear out the gross blue tiles from my bathroom floor and put in a neutral color tile.
Where to start… the gold tub may stay for now, but replace the old brass knobs, the round light bulb-filled fixture, the updated towel bar that keeps falling off…. would be fun!
Since I’m a renter – I would have to say that I’d get as many things to camoflage the Bright yellow paint, black tiled walls and black/white checkboard floor of my apartment bathroom!
(Any suggestions?)
I subscribe to your emails and I am a fan on facebook.
Like you on FB! Thanks –
The sink in our bathroom has started to rust, so a new one is definitely in order!

Tile flooring! Been waiting like 4 years to rip out that hideous fake-wood- looking vinyl that’s in there now!
Gosh, where do I start? I supposed if I could buy one thing for my bathroom it would be a new vanity. We redid the floor a couple years ago and the paint is fresh and new, but the vanity could definitely use some help!
I “like” you FB and sucscribe to email
i would love to get new tiles in our bathroom
I get your emails.

There is so much to do in my bathroom! Can we say “ugly with a dash of gross?” BUT, things in my bathroom have to go at a budget and one at a time… which means I have to prioritize! The most important things to fix is the tile around the bath. For some reason the grout is chipping and falling out in chunks in some places! Second, the shower head is ridiculous…. I think I might get more water pressure out of the water fountain at the local school! It’s one of those low flow heads which are great in theory – save water, save the world…. but my thick hair needs some water flow! I’m sure that would spend the $100, but there are other things to do!
So, to prioritize:
1. Fix tile grout
2. Replace shower head
3. Under counter storage – it’s embarrassing!
4. Replace light fixture
5. Add molding to mirror to update the look
6. Add shelves above toilet
7. Remove wallpaper
8. PAINT!
Ok, this is depressing me!!! So much to do and too much money to spend!

We just renovated our master bath last summer (Thank you Home Depot). Since our closet is part of the master bath, I’ll say I’d like a closet redo–shelves, different level hanging bars, different flooring.
