I have pulled together several giveaways in honor of a big event around here. It is the second birthday of My Frugal Adventures! It seems like MFA has been part of our lives forever- and as my husband refers to it (affectionately and sometimes not so affectionately) is our third child.
So no birthday is complete without presents of course so I wanted to kick off our little birthday party with an awesome giveaway courtesy of Home Depot!
Home Depot is launching a Renew and Redo sale at stores nationwide. They are offering big discounts on products for the bathroom as well as in store experts and online tools to help you find the perfect products to complete your project. The sale runs from 1/20-2/23 and features deep discounts on all sorts of items.
As some of you might know, we have been in the midst of never ending home renovation projects. We originally intended to spruce up the kitchen a little. Well we wound up with serious water damage in the kitchen, master bathroom and the kid’s bathroom that resulted in gutting all three rooms. I am very happy to say that our final project (the master bath) just had the shower doors installed today and we have finally finished all three projects! Needless to say, Home Depot has been a second home to us for the past several months!
Now that we have 2 gorgeous new bathrooms it makes our guest bathroom even more of an eyesore. The original owners of our house made very… shall we say taste specific- choices for the house. (Including lots of brass fixtures and oak cabinets!) So our tiny guest bath is truly horrific with laminate wood floors, brass fixtures and gray marble. It is really something else.
We are certainly not in the mood for another full scale renovation, but we decided to see how much we could do on a very small budget.
So here is a little peek at the current state of the guest bath. The room is dark and depressing and is sadly the only bathroom on the main floor of the house. So it needs serious help for sure. I am super excited to start shopping at Home Depot and see what we can do to fix up this bathroom on a tight budget.
We already started looking around last weekend and we found vanities starting at $99!
I am very happy to say that Home Depot has provided me with one $100 gift card to pass along to a lucky reader to help you get started on a little makeover of your own!
This giveaway will run through Sunday 30th and you have two chances to win.

I need new tile. I already “liked” you on facebook.
I follow MFG on Facebook.
I’d like to buy new towel racks and toilet paper holders for all my bathrooms!
I have three bathrooms in desperate need of rennovation… However I will do the downstairs bath first! To begin with, I would like to replace the cabinet, the faucet and paint!! A $100 GC would really help this!
Happy “Birthday”!!
I follow on Facebook!
We would reallly appreciate new shower doors, maybe even a new countertop. Our bathroom is quite dated. Thanks for this give away!
The upstairs bathroom is the next project on the list and we need everything!
I’d love to replace the pink fixtures in my bath!
following on twitter…
As requested, I wanted to let you know that I follow you (LIKE) on Facebook and receive your daily emails… I look forward to your emails each afternoon!
Thanks again!!!
We need paint and new faucets. The ones we have now are plastic and are really hard to clean. Gross!
I would gift my gift card to my daughter for a new bath tub.
I would like to get new counters for the bathroom…I am getting tired of the cultured marble that came with it.
New lighting fixtures!!
I follow you via email and am a FB fan
I would replace the faucet. I’ve been meaning to do it for a while now!
I would really like to remove the mold behind the walls in the bathroom. Just before my husband left for Iraq (4th deployment) he cut a 4X4 piece out of the drywall and tried to fix the ssue. Now it’s been months I have to see this hole everytime I get into the shower. Not to mention the fear what may be learking inside that hole. I would get drywall, putty, tape and paint. I actually repaint the whole room so it can become a place to enjoy instead of fear! I am frugal and with the 10% military discount that Home depot provides for military familie I am sure I can do it for under $100. Wanna put me up to the challange?
I would like new tiles for the shower area!
I subscribe to emails 🙂
I’d get new countertops!
I’m a fb fan 🙂
I would replace my old tub and tile with a surround shower.
I would put a new vanity in the “Man Cave” bathroom. Even though my husband is really the only one who uses it, the stock builder vanity is really horrible. Thanks for considering!
I would love a new vanity for our master bathroom!
I would use the card to spruce of my bathroom with some major organization! I have 2 girls and that means lots of mess in the bathroom! Hairbows, Hairbands, Brushes, Toothbrushes, and lots of other stuff all over the place. Oh how awesome it would be if everything had it’s place! I could also use some new decor to spruce things up a bit, so every time I go in to what should be my “sanctuary” it doesn’t look like a WAR ZONE! LOL
I subscribe to your emails
We would like to redo the entire bathroom, but I am most looking forward to a new vanity.

Some new tile would be nice.
I would LOVE to remodel the entire bathroom!! Especially the ugly blue tile in the shower.
I like you on Facebook 🙂
I need a new shower! Our shower door will not latch (even after buying several to try), so we keep getting water on the floor. Our master bath is in desperate need of a complete makeover! 🙂
I would love to buy a new faucet for my bathroom.
My bathroom is so retro, w/ pink tile! I would definitely start there…
I would like some more outdoor pots, I like their selection/
I would either get tile for our master bath, or some shelves for our downstairs bath.
I would change out the fixtures in my bathroom. They are all silver and very boring!
I like you on facebook
We really need a new countertop!
I subscribe to your emails!
I like you on FB!
I would love love LOVE to have a new floor for my bathroom!! 🙂
I would replace the old, cheap, beat-up vanity in our main floor full bathroom. Other than paint, this room hasn’t been improved since we moved in, and I think the vanity is original to the house. It needs help.
I Liked you on FB. 🙂
Where do I begin? Lol! We bought our house 2 years ago right as we found out we were pregnant with our first:) so needless to say updates have been slow. I guess I would start with new tile because when the previous owners installed it (in 3 rooms) it doesn’t meet up with the trim! Very annoying every time I look at the floor:)
I would totally get new hardware for my rooms, new lightswitch panels, new drawer pulls, new handtowel loops, I think those types of little decorating details can really make a difference in a room, To catch the royal purple drawer pull on my black china closet drawers is a little flight of fancy for me. Thanks for the opportunity 🙂
I would buy new tile for our bathroom. And some new towels.
I would like to get a new medicine cabinet for our bathroom.
I would buy new tile for our bathroom floor!
