If you adopted a dog from a shelter in 2010, Pedigree is running the free dog food promotion again this year. You can fill out the Pedigree rebate forms here and they will mail you a coupon for a free 20lb bag of Pedigree.
I love this offer and what a great perk for people that adopt shelter dogs.
Our dog is from a shelter and you just couldn’t ask for a better pet.
Also, the Wardley Fish Food coupon is back for $2 off. This will make fish food free at most retailers!
Thanks Passion for Savings!

What a nice thing from Pedigree.
We too have two shelter dogs I located through Petfinder and one we found on the street and were unable to locate the owner.
One thing people don’t realize is how many purebreds are available through shelters and rescue programs.
The other reason I think people hesitate is they think they’re all problem dogs. There are definitely some dogs with issues in rescue. But let me tell you, going to a breeder is no guarantee you’re not going to get a problem dog. (In fact, where do you think these poorly socialized and dogs with health problems are mostly coming from?)
Puppies are also available although I would urge anyone to consider the advantages of an adult dog. Seriously. It’s so much easier and you love them every bit as much.
A really good way to do it is going through a rescue program where the dog is being fostered in someone’s home. That way they can tell you if a dog is not good with kids or cats or if he goes crazy when a toilet flushes or won’t walk on stairs or whatever. They also are VERY particular about making sure you and the dog are a good match because they don’t want to see this dog shuffled around again.
It’s really a win-win situation all the way around.
