I noticed something that is new to me yesterday at CVS. They had signs up for a Beauty Club. The way it works, is that you grab a little tearpad coupon and have it scanned at the register. That will kick start the program onto your CVS account (you need to also scan your Extracare card.)
You should get a 10% off coupon for your next beauty purchase immediately and the 10% is valued up to $100! The other benefit is that once you rack up $50 in pre-coupon beauty purchases, you will get a $5 ECB! This seems to be every $50 beauty purchase and with all the great deals at CVS, I think this would be easy to achieve.
I did scan the beauty club coupon and got a 10% off on my receipt. My 10% off coupon is only valid for 3 days so keep that in mind before you enroll.
You can register for the CVS Beauty Club online or just look for these little signs at your store and register on the spot.

I purchased two clearance items totaling 5.75 and didn’t get the ECB either.
Charlene says
Alicja my husband took the car with my receipt but I wonder if the clearance items rang up as general merchandise and that is why? I have to look when he gets home.
Denise says
I bought two clearance items and did not get the ECB. They printed it manually for me.
Alicja says
Mine didn’t ring up that way. They scanned them and it just says SALE beside the price.
Nicole says
Just FYI, I found the smaller nail clippers for $1.99. I bought one at $1.99 and the files you have pictured at $2.99, and got the $7 ECB.
Charlene says
Sweet- they were $2.99 at the store I went to.
Alyssa says
Yah, I bought 2 clearance Revlon today and no ECB 🙁 I decided not to push my luck and ask for it.
Leah says
I purchased 2 eye shadow on 75% off clearance and the ECB printed because the cashier had to manually put in the price. Lip gloss & nail polish on clearance did not print the ECB when I tried with my other card. Neither of my CVS could manually print the ECB. I was a little sad. 🙁
Hannah says
I bought one clearance revlon and one regular priced revlon and didn’t get an ECB 🙁
Heather says
My ECB did not print for the 75% Revlon nail polish either, but my cashier manually printed one for me after I asked.
kel says
I bought two clearance items and did not receive the ECB. A lady asked while I was there and they told her that they did not count toward the ECBs b/c they were clearanced.
melissa says
I bought two clearance nail polishes today…no ECB. But they were only $1.50ish a piece, so I’m not too bummed out. 🙂
Charlene says
Ok I have an update. I called CVS and they are going to issue my ECBs to me. Try calling the number on the back of your Extracare card and explain you didn’t get the ECBs and they will want the info off your receipt. They can push the ECbs through so they will actually print the next time you scan your card in store. Usually takes 48 hrs or so.
Alicja says
Thanks Charlene. I wouldn’t want to go back to the store and ask for it but it’s nice that you can do it that way too!
Barbie says
With all the feedback everyone else has had, I just asked my cashier about the ECB when it didn’t print on the 2 clearance items I had purchased…they just manually printed me a $7 ECB–glad I asked!
Cory says
Thanks for the info Charlene! I bought 2 lip glosses on clearance for $2.50 each and did not get the ecb. I’ll give CVS a call tomorrow.
Lydia says
$7 ECBs printed just fine for me this afternoon when I purchased one package of nail files and one nail clippers each for 2.99.
Lacey says
It didn’t print for me either. I got 2 clearance nail polished for $1.37 each. When I asked to have them print it because I clearly got 2 revlon products, she looked at me like I was stealing something. She said since I only paid less than $3 and they were on clearance she wasn’t going to give them to me. I talked to the manager and be said the same thing. But he couldn’t show me where it said excluding clearance so he ended up just printing it for me.
Question: when he printed the extra bucks, it has different last 4 digets than my card. Why would it do that? Is it still good on my card? What should I do to make sure I can use it?
Charlene says
Lacey- I think I am a wimp but I have never asked them to push through an ECB so I don’t know. I would think it would be fine. I just call from home and that has always been simple for me.
Lacey says
Charlene I think I might just start doing that. This is the only CVS near me and I hate that it was such a big deal. I just wanted them to show me where it said clearance was excluded. I will remember to call next time.
Kylene says
@ Lacey . . . Look at the numbers on the Extra Bucks and see if those numbers appear in that same sequence somewhere on your card. If I use my phone number vs. my actual card the sequence of the card number on my receipt will the second to last 4 digits vs. just the last 4 digits. Don’t know why it happens for me like that (neither does CVS). You should be fine.
susan says
To Lacey: I have had them print EC bucks for me that didnt print originally and they always have an odd 4 digits. They always go through on the next order.
Mel says
I bought two items from the clearence section and my ECBs printed out without a problem….made $3 on the purchase. : ) I have absolutely asked the cashier about ECBs if they didn’t print. Recently I had a problem with the diaper deal. I am very fortunate to have great employees at the CVS I frequent. They were able to fix it immediately with no problem. Good employees make all the difference. Keep in mind, I play by the rules, I only request special help when I’ve purchased the correct items.
meryl says
I also bought clearance items and they did not produce the EB however I reviewed the ad with the cashier and pointed out the sign right beneath my sale items indicating the $7 EB reward and she agreed and printed them pronto! Especially since there was no minimum purchase amount required, nor did the ad say sale/clearance items excluded. It was a $4 MM!!
Renee says
I went yesterday and bought 1 clearance item and 1 nail file and no ecb. The cashier said it was because the one item was clearance-so I kept the clearance item and returned the nail file and went to another CVS that had more nail files-the first store only had 1 left- and bought 2 and got the ecb.
Sherry says
I went today and purchased 2 clearance items for a total of $3.95. The ECB didn’t print but after some convincing that it did not exclude clearance but all the tags were labeled ALL for the ECB they issued one manually without a problem.
Karen says
Mine didn’t print for 2 clearance items (which totaled 4.12) the cashier said it did not include clearance and I said the sign didn’t say that. The manager printed my $7 and told the cashier to push it through if it happens again 🙂
Sandi says
I bought 2 mascaras on clearance and didn’t get my ECB. When I called, the girl I talked to said it was because clearance didn’t count. I explained the ad didn’t specifiy that, she put me on hold to research, and then told me only one of the mascaras counted toward the sale. She transferred me to supervisor who told me the sale excluded seasonally marked down items. I told her I was feeling jipped because all of you were able to get the $7 back. She put me on hold to “see what she could do.” I’ve never had to work so hard for $7 in my life! I was on the call for over 20 minutes and they finally gave it to me.
Charlene says
Yuck Sandi. I had no problems at all with it and actually CVS has always been super easy for me. One thing is that the- but everyone else did it reasoning can make them less willing to work with you 🙂 I think they might feel like a group is working against them or the floodgates are going to open. But your other argument is exactly right- the ad said Buy 2 Revlon. It said nothing about regularly priced Revlon etc.. I guess my thought would be next time just hang up with a nasty customer service person and call back another time. Maybe you get a person that is friendlier. I am glad you got your ECBs in the end!
Amy B. says
It DOES say NOT INCLUDONG CLEARANCE ITEMS, but I got alot of ECB’s on the Revlon, plus the 5.00 Beauty. Y is everyone getting 7.00 ECB’s??? It says you get 4 ECB’s???
Charlene says
Amy, can you please clarify? You made a Revlon purchase and got a lot of ECBs? Can you tell us what you bought so we can figure it out?
Amy B. says
Where did my other comment go? lol…i c there was a reply, but its not here. Anyway, it doesnt say in the ad about excluding clearence items, but it does on the tags at the store…read the small print…I bought soooo much Revlov stuff…too long of a list to type…and got it all for free…plus the 4.00 ECB…y is everyone saying 7.00 ECB???
Amy B. says
Ohhh…I bought all clearence items…so they manualymade it print the 4.00 ECB…this was before the 2.00 off revlon coupon expired….
