CVS has photo books priced at Buy One Get One Free starting on Sunday.
There is also a new printable coupon to Buy One Get One Free Kodak photobooks.
So in theory you should be able to get up to 4 books total for free! I know this exact offer has happened a few times in the past and people have had really good luck, but remember CVS does not have a printable coupon policy so you may have to adjust your scenario a little.
I would still print it out while it is available and cross your fingers!
I saw this under photography with no zip code listed.
Thanks Bargain Briana!

Charlene, do you know anything about how to make these books? Would I go into the store with my photos on a disk and make them or can I make them online? My store doesn’t have Express photo service for books. Don’t know if that matters…
Thanks for your awesome blog.

I was wondering the same thing. I’m hoping I could make them online. My toddlers won’t stand for anything that takes too much time. Thanks!

I’m wondering too…..could we make these now so that they are ready to go? And do all the photobooks need to be the same?
Amy says
Well, bummer….the coupon is gone. I can’t believe I didn’t print it last night!! Grrrr……..

This coupon is gone 🙁

FYI–You can make them online but only if your store has Express Photo. You can see if your store has this by either calling them, or try to make a book and it will prompt you to put your zip code in to select the store you would like it to print at. If none of your stores are listed, then you should just make it in the store. You can do it really fast in the store if you choose Auto-fill with your pictures. They are for the 8×10 single sided books, 10 pages. HTH

Tried to do this today and they would not use the coupon and the B1G1 deal. They said and I quote, “If we used the deal and the coupon, you would get out of here with 2 books for free. Do you think we are crazy?” After they don’t have any 8×10 books in this store, don’t have any signage to state that and tried to say I couldn’t get the deal because they don’t normally carry 8×10 books but they let me print them, I don’t think she wanted me to answer that question. Has anyone else actually had this work? Can you actually use the coupon and the B1G1 deal?
Charlene says
Yes Mary Lynn you can. CVS has had this deal many times in the past and lots of people took advantage of the sale. Actually I have used BOGO coupons on a BOGO sale many, many times myself. The issue with CVS is that they do not have a clearly written coupon policy. The other drugstores not only have coupon policies but actually have this exact deal written out as perfectly valid. So what you can try doing is calling the phone number on the back of your Extracare card and asking customer service for assistance. They might be able to help you.

I completed my photobooks online at CVS, and used “NEWYEARBOOK” coupon code at check-out. It deducted one book. Then when you go into the store, DO THE OTHER GALS use the Kodak BOGO or the CVS ad to get the 2nd FREE??? Just asking because I’m going in to pick mine up today and want to be sure I am using the correct scenario! THANKS A BUNCH!
Claire says
My experience was the same as Mary Lynn’s. I did it online (did not know about the coupon code “newyearbook”). When I went to pick it up, they told me that 1) I didn’t use the coupon code online so they wouldn’t honor the buy one get 1 that was listed in the ad (even though the ad clearly did not have any exclusions) and also that in the coupon, it clearly states that you can’t use it on internet orders. So I would not do this on internet orders if you want to try to get some free books.

I had the same experience and Mary Lynn. They told me “If you used the coupon, you would get both books free. The coupon says you have to BUY one to get one free. If you got both free, you wouldn’t be BUYING one.” I wanted to scream! Clearly, they do not understand that when you remove an item from their inventory, you are buying it, no matter how much (or how little) you pay for it. This is no different than using a $5 off coupon for a $5 item. So frustrating!
P.S. They ALSO tried to use the “this is an 8.5×11, not an 8×10” line…

This is excerpt of an e-mail I received from CVS re. their coupon policy:
In the case where a particular item is on sale for “buy one get one free” (BOGO), you are only allowed to use one manufacturer’s coupon. For instance, if Revlon lipstick is on sale for BOGO, you can use one manufacturer’s BOGO coupon. You would get both items free & pay any applicable tax. When an item is on sale for buy one, get one free and the customer has a buy one get one free coupon for that same product, the coupon will be accepted and both items will essentially become free (plus any applicable sales tax).

Thanks Denise for sharing that. I went and purchased 4 books and a Dawn dish detergent. I used my 2 BOGO coupons (even though they said no online orders because they were still on KODAK) and a Dawn Coupon. My grand total was $2.24 for all 5 items! HAPPY GIRL DANCE!!! 🙂
