CVS: Cheap PB and Pasta Sauce!

Since I didn’t get a chance to do the CVS deals this week, I thought I’d let you know what I plan to stock up on this week.  We happen to have just run out of peanut butter so CVS is to the rescue!

Buy $10 in select items and get $3 in ECBs back.

My favorite is the Ragu priced at $1.66 and Skippy PB priced at $1.66

My Plan:

Buy 6 Skippy Peanut Butter at $1.66 each
Use (3) $.75/2 coupons from 11/14 RP
Get $3 ECBs
Final Price: $4.75 for 6 or .79 each

Then I don’t have to worry about Peanut Butter for a long time.

Some areas got .50/1 Skippy PB instead of the .75/2- so that could make for an even better deal!

See the CVS deals for the week here.

I was so excited to find that Bertolli alfredo sauce was included at my store! Some stores sell this for almost $3.00 a jar. Even without a Q it works out to a little over a dollar for each. Love it!

Ooh, I need to check out the Bertolli at my store! The spicy marinara is really good!

I was thinking about the Ragu – you can use (3)$1/2 coupons from the Safeway Thanksgiving booklet and (6) free boxes of pasta wyb Ragu that came out in this past week’s insert. $4 for 6 jars of Ragu and boxes of pasta, or .33 per item. Not too bad!

Good call Tiffany, the only thing is sometimes those B1G1 coupons attach to both items but CVS is usually pretty good about pushing things through. Still .66 per item for pasta sauce which is a great price 🙂

To all of you ladies that buy all the cheap food…BE CAREFUL! Read your labels and if if contains high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, MSG, (which can be also under artifial flavors) and hydrogenated/partially hydrogenated oils…..BE CAREFUL! Especially, when feeding your children. Do a search on those ingredients and you will see why you are able to get hatt food so darn cheap, or even free.

Like they say, If it is too good to be true, mostlikely, it is.

ps. hersey, reeses and heath choc chips are 1.78 each at Walmart & there is a $1/2 of these from yesterday’s paper. I went to the Walmart in Citrus Heights

I also got a “free pasta worth up to 1.25” WYP 2 Ragu in the 11/14 RP so that sweetens the deal a bit.
