Janelle- no it is not a new thing. They will honor cash back on some codes. Like codes they have on their site or widely distributed codes- like ones right on the home page of a site. The retailers will not honor cash back on hidden codes- which is what these codes are. You can call Shop at Home and discuss it with them directly- they are very friendly people.
Stacey as I noted in the post they will not honor cash back when hidden promo codes are used from any retailer. The commission will be removed from your account before a check is cut.

Free Shipping code is no longer working.
I was able to use the $5 pff code as well as the free shipping code. The code for the free ASP had an error saying it had expired or is invalid. I have been dying to try dry shampoo and was able to get Batiste Blush Dry Shampoo for a total of $2.65 after using the codes. Thanks so much for the tip!

I had trouble with the order too. I called and waited 15 minutes to speak to someone. Customer Service said that the $5 off promo code was being deactivated because there was abuse on other websites giving out the promo codes. I guess they didn’t wan’t everyone to get in on the good deal, only some. I am not one of the lucky ones to have gotten it. She said she would have to speak with one of the managers to see what they can do.

I went through ebates and actually did get money back. $.21
Shelly I can guarantee they will not pay that out. These companies will reduce the commission Ebates makes- so once they audit the orders to pay Ebates it will be withdrawn from Ebates and they in turn will withdraw it from your account. It might appear there until they audit the accounts but it won’t be paid. It isn’t a big deal I guess but I don’t like misleading people into thinking they will get more than they really will.

I just wanted to make an update. I got my Ebates credit with using all three codes. It was only 12 cents, but still! It’s good to know.
Janelle thanks for the update. I don’t want to keep arguing the point so can contact these companies yourself. The credit will appear temporarily and at the end of the quarter will be removed. They will audit the accounts and remove any commissions with unapproved promo codes. It is not instantaneous. So while it may show up in your account as .12 for a short time it will be removed before you are paid. I had lengthly conversations with both companies about this, so I would invite you to contact them as well.
