Finish Quantumatic dishwashing kits are priced at $5 at Safeway through 10/26.
There are $3 off coupons available- you can print a $3 off Finish coupon here or many stores have the tearpad coupons.
Plus reader Karen told me about a new catalina offer she received:
Buy Finish Between 10/08/2010 and 10/31/2010
and save up to 3.00 on a future order with coupon.
Spend $7-9.99 get $2.00 or
spend $10 or more and get $3.00
So it looks like this is including the Quantumatic! The math would look like this:
Buy 2 Quantumatic at $5 each
Use (2) $3/1 coupons
Pay $4 and get a $3 cat back!!
So .50 each!
I haven’t tried this personally but I plan to head into Safeway tomorrow and check it out! I have tear pad coupons from my store and they do not expire until 11/15. Has anyone else tried this?
**NOTE: As with any catalina offer- the only way to guarantee you get the cat is to look for signage at your store. These are not released directly from either Safeway or from Catalina Marketing so there is always a chance your store is not participating in the promotion. This offer should be nationwide but if your catalina does not print you can either contact them directly or return the merchandise for a refund.
UPDATE: I did this tonight and it worked out perfectly. My total after coupons was $4.82 and I got $3 cat back. So with tax these are about .90 each.

I actually got the Catalina announcement for this last Friday and went in to do it on Saturday. My catalina didn’t print, so that’s why I didn’t pass on the deal. I emailed the catalina company today so hopefully I hear back about it. I plan to go stock up so I hope it gets to working!

Thank you for posting this. I was on my way to Safeway and I checked your site (it’s one of my fav’s) as usual. The deal worked no problem and there were lots of coupons on the tear pad!! Thank you

i bought one of these the other day because there was a $3 blinkie in front of it and i noticed they were on sale for $5, but fyi it’s doing a HORRIBLE job cleaning my dishes. I am having to run loads over mulitple times to get them cleaned-and even at it’s still not cleaning the junk off the dishes.
Charlene says
Bree I have literally heard people hate them and people love them. I have two I bought on clearance at Target but I haven’t opened them up yet.

I like, it does not give me any problems at all. just make sure not to overload the dishwasher and make sure to get the gunk out before hand. usually a 1/4 of a cup of olive though a rinse cycle does the trick.

I tried the quantum but I don’t like it. It uses a space in the rack to place the plastic case. Also, sometimes there are some powder form detergent left on the lower rack right underneath the case after the wash cycle.

I had good and bad cycles with this product. But it’s like that now when I use any other soap so to me I think it’s worth it especially at this price.
Sarah says
I feel the same way about the product, but at this price it is a deal!

I have been using one since I had a bunch I got free at Rite Aid. I like it. It does a good job….no complaints here. I works way better than the Finish tablets did for me.
Trish says
I’m planning on picking up a few this weekend. It has done a really good job in my dishwasher.

So I tried this deal tonight and the checker refused to use my coupons! She said Safeway has a new corporate policy that states they cannot take a coupon that takes more than half off the price. Since the coupon was $3 off of $5, she wouldn’t do it. The manager agreed and I left the store without it. She offered to use just one coupon off of the $10 for 2 price, but I just left frustrated. Anyone else heard of this?
Charlene says
Alyson, That is not true. The policy used to be no more than 50% of the item value if the coupon is printed. They changed that months ago. This is the current policy:

I suppose you can complain to corporate but frankly they don’t care 🙁 What I have found to be effective is to post something on the Facebook wall. It seems like you can actually get through to someone that way that has sense.
