I have a quick giveaway to get the holiday weekend started!  Be sure to check in tomorrow as well for another fun giveaway.

Today I have a $25 gift card for use at any of the Safeway Family of stores: Vons, Randalls, Dominicks, Genuardis, Carrs, Tom Thumb or Pavillon.

This is in honor of the “10% Goes Back to Schools” promotion running through 9/14.  When you purchase one of over 2,000 products that feature the image above in your store, 10% of the purchase price is donated by Safeway to a local school!

You can check your receipt each time you shop and your totals should be updated at the bottom.

Now I just checked a receipt I had on hand and I have spent $80 in participating items.  That means that I will be able to choose a school and Safeway will donate $8!  For coupon shoppers this is really amazing because I can assure you I did not spend $80- probably closer to $20.

    I shop at Vons here in Southern California. Although I miss the Bay Area a lot, I do like the double coupons here in SoCal. Your match ups are comparable, but I have seen a few differences. Love your post!

    I shop at Safeway and check your posts for the match ups (although I often find slight differences in the Ad/ prices maybe due to location).

    Please throw my name in the hat! We are coming home from vacation to an empty fridge and almost bare pantry (we went on a two month $25/week grocery challenge to help pay for a very unxpected new stove and vacation spending money).

    I shop at the Safeway in Seatac, WA. I love watching your blog for Safeway deals. I’ve saved so much money! I wish I had of known about the coupon game years ago! That $25 could go a long way with all I’ve learned. Keep up the awesome work 🙂

    I shop at Safeway. It is clean, staff is friendly and they don’t give you a hard time when you ask for paper bags!

    I shop sometimes at Genuardis. We don’t have a Safeway in NJ. I have also shopped at Dominicks when Ivisited

    I shop at Vons and I always check your weekly match ups for Safeway; they are comparable to Vons. There have only been a couple of items that didn’t match 🙂

    I shop at Dominicks and a lot of the sales match up, but sometimes the super coupons are different.

    I shop at Randall’s. I find that many of the match-ups are the same, but there are usually some differences. That’s to be expected with regional sales.
