I have a quick giveaway to get the holiday weekend started!  Be sure to check in tomorrow as well for another fun giveaway.

Today I have a $25 gift card for use at any of the Safeway Family of stores: Vons, Randalls, Dominicks, Genuardis, Carrs, Tom Thumb or Pavillon.

This is in honor of the “10% Goes Back to Schools” promotion running through 9/14.  When you purchase one of over 2,000 products that feature the image above in your store, 10% of the purchase price is donated by Safeway to a local school!

You can check your receipt each time you shop and your totals should be updated at the bottom.

Now I just checked a receipt I had on hand and I have spent $80 in participating items.  That means that I will be able to choose a school and Safeway will donate $8!  For coupon shoppers this is really amazing because I can assure you I did not spend $80- probably closer to $20.

    I shop @ the safeway on dunne in morgan hill (95037). I like it better than the one on tenant, they are a little rude there. (Plus it looks kind of dirty) 🙂

    I shop at Vons I have two within half a mile from me. And YES! I do check your Safeway store matchups. Most of the time they are the same, but they do vary sometimes. Thanks for all you do!

    I shop at Pavilions and I certainly use your matchups every week and sometimes when you have the weekend edition too. Some of prices are lower than yours (like Honey Nut Cheerios last week)and some are higher, but the general sales seem to be on the same items.

    I shop Safeway in Ashland, Oregon. Very small Safeway because I’m too lazy to drive the 15 minutes to the nice big one.

    I love the match-ups and I definitely check them, I’m still pretty new to this. Going on my second month and I’m finally getting into the swing of it and it’s starting to work. Still can’t get my grocery bill down to $50/week…that I’m working on! LOL!

    Down here in Anaheim, Ca I have Vons and Pavilions very close to me but I will usually choose Vons as they will double at least one coupon were Pavilions will not. Plus the prices are usually lower at Vons as well. I use your match ups every week and I would say 85% to 90% of the time they are exactly the same. The main difference in sales come from produce and meat.

    I shop at Randall’s in Austin, TX and do find that most of the time the sales do match up. Usually the items are the same, but the prices may vary slightly.
