I went to two stores this week. I have to say I could have skipped shopping altogether except for milk this week so nearly everything will go into the pantry. We went to a party this weekend and the caterers gave my husband so much food at the end you wouldn’t believe. We have gigantic ziplocs full of assorted produce- lettuce, tomatoes, onions etc.. and shredded chicken, beef- a massive amount of food really. So I will have to figure out a way to try and use it all this week.

2 Betty Crocker Supreme Brownies $2.19 each- used .75/2 coupon, had $2.00 in e-coupons= $1.63 for both

5 Nabisco 100 calorie $1.65 with in ad coupon- used (2) .75/1 coupons=$6.75 and got $3 cat back
2 Old El Paso Tacos .99- used $2.40 in e-coupons= better than free
2 Skippy Natural PB $1.49- used $1/2 coupon & had $1 e-coupon= .98 for both

2 Charmin TP $5.99- had $3 e-coupon= $8.98

Sargento Cheese $1.99- used .55 coupon and $1.10 in e-coupons=.34

Chicken Breast 4lbs $7.52- used $1 coupon
Used $5/50 Safeway coupon from the Entertainment book, and used $3.50 catalina- paid $36.57 and have a $3 cat for next time. I also got a $10 catalina to use toward a gift card for buying the Olay, TP and paper towels. I bought a $25 gift card to Target and paid $15!
*My Safeway e-coupons did not come off once again. I emailed to complain about it to [email protected]. I should have had an extra $2.30 come off this trip.
Then I went to Raley’s and I am massively irritated. The milk was marked incorrectly- I should have paid $4.78 for 2 gallons. Instead I paid $7. If you head into Raley’s make certain you buy Bayview milk not Sunnyside and disregard the signs which might be incorrect.
To soften the blow- I wanted to use the $10/50 coupon this week so I pulled together several free item coupons. I tend to hoard my free coupons for occasions such as this.

I’ve been struggling with my Safeway e-coupons as well. They NEVER come off! Maybe if enough of us start complaining they might do something about it. I’ll send an email right now.

mine seem to be okay. however, I use the self checkout and if I point out the problem, they are kind enough to take off the amound. one time the amount was for $1 for a yogurt thing. its kind of stupid when you have the e-coupons and they don’t work. bad safeway! hopefully something good will come about it, you have loads of contacts. 🙂
I went to Safeway on Friday, specifically to use ecoupons that I had because they would expire in three days, and I had doubles of a lot of them. Anyway, NONE of them came off – not from Shortcuts, Cellfire, or Safeway. Customer service had me call the number on the receipt, I emailed the lady copies of all the pages online that showed I had them saved to my card, and she called me Friday afternoon to let me know that she was processing them all and would call me Monday when she was finished and have me get my refund at the store. I had $35.00 that didn’t come off – too much for me to just shrug and walk away from! Well, okay – $2.00 would be too much for a couponer to just shrug and walk away from!!!
My ecoupons have come off about 75% of the time…I got the big bag of chicken breast the other day and it did not ring up at shelf price (which wasn’t as good as your price in CA! 🙁 and my ecoupon didn’t come off. They did correct it for me (with 4 other mistakes), but unfortunately the service counter clerk at my store yesterday was not so pleasant – I always feel like I am bothering her, but it IS her job!?!? UGH…C’mon Safeway – get it together! 😉

Ugghh, I hate the milk signs at Raley’s. I’ve made that mistake a few times.
My e-coupons don’t always come off either. I make certain to take my printed list of coupons with me. When they don’t come off, I show them the list and the cashier just takes it off. My Safeway knows not to mess with me and my coupons. I do not hesitate to call the district manager and then the store has to deal with her! So, they just make me happy at the store and all is well.
I’m sure I have a reputation as a you-know-what, but, I get what I want and that’s just fine with me!
How did you get the free coupons for the soy milk, arm and hammer laundry soup, baked ruffles, crocker mashed potatoes, pilsburg biscuits, and ragu pasta sauce?
Hi Sarah- I tried to preempt that question. I hold onto all my free item coupons- sometimes for 6 months or more until I find a good use for them. Several I got from Kraft First Taste, some from various other programs I have posted about- the Ruffles was a coupon I posted ages ago that you just requested. It was actually Sun Chips but the coupon was good for a variety of items. The Arm and Hammer I found in a small sample that came a really long time ago. The 8th Continent I got at the blog conference I just went to.
I don’t keep track of where they all specifically come from because as I said, I might hold them for months and months and months before I use them.
