The Valet is  a new wireless router made just for people who are intimated by the traditional router. For those of us who may not be super tech savvy, this router has made it easy. You simply plug in a USB key and it does all the work for you.  Not only is it a reliable, solid router – it offers built in parental controls.

As a Mom of 2 little girls (who will be on the Internet sooner than I would like to think), the Internet security feature of the The Valet, is one I welcome.  I cannot imagine being worried about what websites my girls might visit or how long they will try to stay online at night. If you have a teenager, this is a great way to control the Internet usage, without putting software on the computer.

The Valet is made by the company who brought us the Flip video camcorders and it comes from  Cisco, a router brand that people know and trust. Along with its super easy setup, the Valet creates a guest network to go along with your main network. This gives your friends and family the ability to connect to the guest network – without disrupting your network.

    I love the built in parential options as I have two teenagers and a son who use the internet.

    I love the wireless aspect. Anytime there are less wires in the house, the better. Between safety issues with the little ones and it just looking cleaner.

    I am impressed with the ease of use and yet it seems to have good security features. Our old wireless router died last week and I have added the Cisco Valet to the top of the list of replacement possibilities.

    I think the easy setup is great. Its no good having a bunch of extra features if you can’t even install it properly.
