The Valet is  a new wireless router made just for people who are intimated by the traditional router. For those of us who may not be super tech savvy, this router has made it easy. You simply plug in a USB key and it does all the work for you.  Not only is it a reliable, solid router – it offers built in parental controls.

As a Mom of 2 little girls (who will be on the Internet sooner than I would like to think), the Internet security feature of the The Valet, is one I welcome.  I cannot imagine being worried about what websites my girls might visit or how long they will try to stay online at night. If you have a teenager, this is a great way to control the Internet usage, without putting software on the computer.

The Valet is made by the company who brought us the Flip video camcorders and it comes from  Cisco, a router brand that people know and trust. Along with its super easy setup, the Valet creates a guest network to go along with your main network. This gives your friends and family the ability to connect to the guest network – without disrupting your network.

    I like the ability to ‘shut down’ the internet. I have an 11 year old that would play video games all night if I let him.

    I love the internet security feature. My four year old is a whiz on the computer, this would make me feel a little more secure about her using it.

    Give friends and visitors password access to the Internet but not your private information.

    I worry about this all the time.

    I like several things about the cisco valet, 1) PARENTAL CONTROLS!!! That is always numero uno on my list of anything internet related in my home 2) Ease of setup and use. I’m not the most tech savy individual. 3) The wider range of coverage it offers.
