There are two more deals to be on the lookout for this week at the Safeway Family stores.
Reader Josie let me know that Safeway Buttertop Breads are on sale for .99 this week in her Vons ad. Use the $1/1 coupon from the Safeway Sandwich booklet and get them free! (This was not in my ad and when I checked online it says $1.50 so prices will vary. To pay .50 after coupon is still a fantastic deal!)
Reader Sarah let me know her ad has Farmer John Sausage links for $1.25. You can use the .75/1 printable (use zip 90001) plus the .75/1 Shortcuts e-coupon and make .25 profit to buy them! (These were also not featured in my ad and Farmer John seems to be a West Coast brand. These do go on sale for $1.50 or less frequently.)

Those coupons are not in the safeway mda booklet, but they are in a Serve up a sandwich book (found near the sandwich meat and in the meat dept) at my safeway. I had problems at my safeway (new to me cashier) and the computer only took .01 cent. I could not find the manager but will try to correct these issues at my safeway, anyone else having this problem?
Charlene says
Sally- thanks I actually realized right after I posted so it should be correct now 🙂 I had this happen to me and then I waited until the end and the coupon corrected itself and took off the full dollar. I used several coupons and every time the same deal- .01 when they scan it and then the full dollar after they hit total.

Does anyone else have a hard time finding the Farmer John sausage? I’m in CA, and can’t ever find them…and I have, I think, 4 of the e-coupons for them that I would love to use. Maybe I have selective blindness?
Scott says
I also had both (the bread $1/1 and the produce $1/1) come out at $.01 — and they did not correct — they claimed that they appeared as “scanned coupons” on the bottom of my receipt — but there were 5 such coupons on the bottom and they were other coupons I had handed over (Vlassic pickles $1/2, Nature Valley clusters $1/1, three Cheerios $1/1). They also claimed that you had to spend $5.00 in produce to get the $1/1.

At my store the Farmer Johns is not near the bacon it is near the refrigerated Hormel Entrees and the meat department. They have a tiny selection of sausage there. I have also seen them in the center aisle displays because they are typically priced between $1.25-1.99.

Charlene, I ran out to my car to check my receipt and nope, not even the .01 cent; mine said produce coupon: .00. Could just be a glitch in my safeway’s computers, like I said this was a new to me cashier; I LOVE my Safeway cashiers, they are awesome and I never make a fuss; I just chalk it up to you win some and you loose some. Thanks.
Carla Magee says
Grrr… my bread is $1.25
Sarah says
My bread was $1.49 and the whole dollar came off for the bread, however for the produce it only took off the .01. When I make another trip to Vons I will take my receipt to customer service.

i cant find the farmer johns sausage is there any other zip code i can use?
Sheila C says
I can’t seem to find the farmer johns either. Maybe they’re all out of prints?
Charlene says
The printable? Did you use the zip I provided? I still see it.
Sheila C says
Yeah Charlene, I’m looking for the printable. I used 90001 but it’s not showing up for me. No big deal. I also can’t find the Nut clusters coupon.
