I heard about the Hoover Floormate about a year ago. A friend of mine was telling me she cleans her bathroom floors in 5 minutes with the Floormate and how much she loved it.
When Hoover contacted me to review the Floormate I jumped. Literally. And then waited at the door for 2 weeks until it arrived. Finally my little box of heaven arrived and I tested it out that same day. We have a lot of carpet in our house but the kitchen floor and I are arch rivals. We have linoleum floors and a 1 year old baby that prefers to throw her meals on the floor than actually eat them.
So the kitchen floor is filthy basically 100% of the time. Now the floormate is designed for hard floors and it has 3 features- it can vacuum the floor (no sweeping needed!) and then scrub the floor and then it dries them for you!
So I tested the power of this baby by letting Maya have her way with the floor for 2 days. Usually I am scrubbing away after every meal so the floor under her highchair was pretty bad. I found the Floormate did an amazing job. It vacuumed all the little crumbs up perfectly. The scrub feature got most of the stuff off the floor but I still had to scrub a tiny bit myself to get everything up. To be fair, Maya had thrown several tomato slices on the floor so there were seeds and things that were a little much for the Floormate. It did get nearly all of her mess up though and I am guessing normal people won’t have quite the level of mess that I have. The Floormate does allow you to use a trigger to concentrate the soap into certain spots and there are rotating brushes that work to get it all up. This baby will get your floors really clean and it is nice and easy to use. Then just switch it to dry and viola- the floors are all done!!
We have had the Floormate for about a week and I can tell you our floors are cleaner than they have ever been. I typically vacuum the kitchen once per day and that keeps everything crumb free. Then I do a scrub every other day- it is pretty simple to do. Overall I have really loved this machine. If you have hardwood floors I could see this making your life a lot easier. For sure it makes cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms so much easier and honestly I think it is cleaner than using a broom and mop.
The Floormate runs on scratch free rubber wheels and has 2 tanks- one for clean water and one for dirty. You will easily see how much dirt this baby picks up and you don’t have to worry about dumping more dirty water onto the floor when you are cleaning.
This sells for about $149 and you can purchase the Floormate from Target.com for $149.00 with free shipping!

My most disliked chore is dusting. I have too many knick knacks I guess.
I don’t like to change the cat litter.

I hate dusting. Even though it is easy, last time I did it was in March. Today, it was awful!!
I hate cleaning the tile floors. Right after dusting that is.
I cannot stand the kitchen floor!
🙂
My least favorite chore is sweeping and mopping. I have 5 kids who are always hungry and I seem to be sweeping and mopping all day long.

My least favorite thing is dusting. There’s so much dust in my house!!
i would have to agree that the batroom is the worst, especially with having 3 men in the house. Between the men in the house and our dogs who have to track everything inside, i seem to be constantly sweeping, vacuuming and mopping.I wish my vacuum had a odometer i would love to see how many mile i have put on it. lol I follow you on facebook, twitter and i receive you emails
My least favorite job happens to be mopping the floor. We live in AZ and have a lot of tile, and with 4 little kids it can be quite the job! I would love one of these!!
My least favorite chore…probably doing the dishes. I’m okay with loading/unloading but the pots and pans I tend to avoid and thankfully my husband doesn’t mind doing them.
My least favorite chore is vacuuming and mopping. Seriously. Not just because of your giveaway! 🙂

I follow you on all of them! FB, Twitter, and get the newsletter! I can’t get enough of your tips!! My least favorite chore?? Cleaning my bathroom floors! I have cats and while try to do a good job of trying to keep things clean, I hate getting on my hands and knees to clean that linoleum! My back problem doesn’t make it better. Plus, I’m out of a job right now, so can’t afford to buy the awesome Floormate on my own! Would LOVE to have one! Thanks for the chance!
My least favorite chore is the steps. Trying to vaccum them is hard when the attachments don’t stay on and the mini vaccums don’t seem to get all the dirt up. So our steps hardly ever get done.

I also looked at your twitter status once…. not quite sure how the twiter thing all works.
Thank you
Hi, I subscribe to your newsletter also follow you on facebook and my least favorite chore has to be cleaning the kitchen. I have 2 children of my own and 2 I childcare for it seems I am mopping and sweeping the floor all day long. Did I mention I get down on my hands and knees and scub the floor. It is killer not only on the knees but my back too. Please save me Hoover.
I really hate cleaning the tub/shower.
I actually love to vacuum the house. It’s the one chore thats not really a chore. My sister loves it even more, she makes sure that all of the vacuum rows line up straight and then she vacuums again cross wise to make a checker board!
I’m a fan on facebook!
My least favorite chore- I’d have to say it’s a tie between scrubbing the shower (though all the free scrubbing bubbles have made that job a little easier) and mopping. Ugh!
I hate cleaning the bathroom as well!

Kitchen floors, because they never stay clean – well nothing else does either, but they fail the quickest!
