Tonight was adventures in e-coupons I think. We are buying the least amount possible each week because we are still in the process of moving. Also keep in mind I usually only buy proteins once a month or so when they hit rock bottom prices.
SAFEWAY: $11.84
Pampers $7.99- Used a $3 coupon plus a $2 e-coupon= $2.99
Sargento Cheese $1.99- Used .55 printable plus .55 e-coupon= .89
3 Yoplait Fiber One $2 each- Used (3) $1/1 printables and only 1 e-coupon came off= $2 for 3
Hamburger Buns $1.99
2 Jimmy Dean Bacon $1.99- used (2) $1/1 coupons= .99 each
4 Corn .25 each
CVS:
Transaction #1: $15.92
Eyeliner on clearance .49
Sally Hansen Lip Gloss on clearance $1.99- used $1 coupon
Huggies Box Diapers $19.99- Used $3 coupon
Pepsi $3.67 + .60 CRV
Powerbars x2= $1.98
4 Pampers Wipes .87 each- used (2) $2/1 coupons
I used a $5/25 CVS coupon, plus I asked about the free Pepsi coupon (says something like not to be combined with other offers) and they said it was absolutely OK to use with the $5/25 coupon (yeah!). The Pepsi coupon actually took off $5. I paid $15.92 and got $10 ECB for Huggies, $1.98 for Powerbars and $1 ECB for using the bag tag. (So that was like $2 net for all that!! LOVE CVS!)
Transaction #2: $3.06
Men’s Sunglasses $11.38 on clearance
Kids Sunglasses $6.99
6 Pampers Wipes at .87- Used (2) $2/1 coupons
I also used the $5 summer items coupon, and all of the ECBs from above ($12.98) and paid 3.06
I have another $10 ECB back from the sunglasses!
RALEY’S: $7.21
Oroweat English Muffins $2.99- used a free item coupon
Raleys Bread $2.99- used free item coupon
2 Mt Olive Red Peppers $1.99- used .75/1 coupons off the jars (No e-coupon came off for me!)
Salad Mix $1
Mushrooms $1.79
2 Cantaloupe .97 each
So $38.03 total and $10 ECB for next time. Not a ton of food this week but a lot of diapers and wipes PLUS my husband just broke his sunglasses so the ECB deal was perfect. (PS: I must order from Graveyard Mall next time- cruddy cheap plastic sunglasses are $16.99-24.99 a pair!)
How did you guys do this week shopping?
CGaffney says
Okay I curious, how do you get the Huggies deal on Saturday? I thought the sales were Sun thru Sat. Another question, the e-coupons for the club cards are do they only get applied to one item?
melody says
I have a question…how did you already get the huggies diaper deal? 🙂
Charlene says
Melody most CVS stores start the sales on Saturday evenings. You can go to your store and check usually later at night- 7ish or so. I see the tags up- ready to go.
Charlene says
CGaff- I am not sure what you mean but the Safeway e-coupons are one per card period. If you get lucky and they have the same coupon from different companies- like Cellfire has one and then Shortcuts also has one- you have 2 coupons total. Now both coupons will come off if you buy just one item but I usually don’t like to do that. You do need to be aware though because it will create overage and you want to be careful of that.
April says
Are the Pampers wipes on clearance? Or are they really that cheap?!
melody says
oh I had no idea..okay thanks 🙂
CGaffney says
I was just curious if when you loaded the coupon on your card if it could be ‘used’ towards more than one item. I would assume that it wouldn’t, but just curious…..but that is great to know about CVS sales started Saturday evening! I am new at all of this, and your site has been a HUGE help! My pocket book thanks you…and so does the hubby 🙂
cherith says
Wow…how did you find Pampers wipes at that price? Even the online price is $3.49 each. I’d love to find them for that price!
Lindsey says
Aww man. I asked about using the free pepsi with the $5 off coupon and the cashier told me no.
Karen says
target-
buy 3 biore products get a $5 GC. had 2 $2 off coupons…..biore was 5.34. so for 2-3.34X2 + 5.35 and I also had a sobe lifewater coupon (buy one get one free) at the local price of 1.02. not bad if I do say so myself. total purchase was 15. 🙂
I might use the gC when I get the scrubbing bubles and use it with the coupon. haha!
Charlene says
Cherith & April, there was a big CVS clearance a few weeks ago where lots of stores had them at .87:
http://myfrugaladventures.com/2010/06/cvs-1-49-for-huggies-mega-packs/
They were marked at $3.49 but I just double checked at the scanner and .87 each!
Josie says
Great Job! I’m surprised your CVS still has Pamper’s wipes left–Someone cleared all my local CVS stores, the same day! I Thought you were kicking the diet soda?? 🙂
Tina says
I think one of the ecoupons for the yogurt is miscoded. I bought nut clusters last week and it took off the nut clusters ecoupons AND the yoplait ecoupon came off as well.
Kim says
where do i find the 2/1 pampers q
Shelly says
Where was the e-coupon for the pampers? Thank you.
Charlene says
Shelly the links are the in the weekly Safeway match ups:

Charlene says
Josie- we have lots of workers coming to do repairs on the house and it is 90+ here already. So I figured if it was free I would make friends with them 🙂
Jen T says
Ugh I should have grabbed those pampers wipes when I saw them. =( I didn’t want to pay $0.87 because I was getting them cheaper, and I didn’t think I could use my $2/1 cpn with them. Did they reduce the value of the coupon, or did the overage come out of the total?
Charlene says
Jen- I don’t usually like to get overage- I am usually happy with free. I bought extra tubs to sort of make up for it- like 6 tubs at .87 and I used $4 in coupons so it was $1.22 for me. If I had purchased 1 tub and tried to used $2/1 coupon I would assume they would have marked the coupon down- not sure.
Kim says
I was able to find one tub of pamper’s wipes at $0.87 but was not able to use the $2/1 coupon even though I was purchasing other items to cover the overage. Nor did they mark the coupon down. But $0.87 is still a great price and I used the $2/1 coupon to get the wipes free at Walmart.
