Ok well it is Wednesday and I am just getting to the office supply deals for the week. Better late than never right?
So Office Depot has some free after Rewards deals again this week. The deal is that you need to register for Worklife Rewards and you purchase the participating items and then they will mail you a rebate for 100% of the purchase price. The trick is that you don’t get money back you get a rebate in the form of store credit.
The other trick is that you can’t use the Rewards rebate on another free Worklife Rewards item- so in essence you can’t keep rolling these to get free stuff.
One last important note is that you can only buy 2 items per day-but they do not have any limits. So if you really need binders- you can buy 2 packs per day, everyday through Sunday.
So here is what you can get this week:
Natural Spring Water 20pk $3.99
Tops Writing Pads $4.99
Premium D Ring Binders $6.99
Office Depot Premium Paper $7.29
Energizer 10 pk Batteries $7.49
Paper Pro Compact Stapler $9.99
Letter and Legal Storage Totes $9.99
Uniball Pink Retractable Pens $17.99
See the ad right HERE and register for Worklife Rewards HERE.
Don’t forget my post HERE about the extra $5 credit you can get in your Worklife Rewards account!!

You may be aware of this already, but I just found out today after making purchases yesterday. If you have a Star Teacher account, it is NOT the same deal as the Worklife Rewards account. With the Star Teacher, you will only get 1% on qualifying items and not the 100% in the add. I asked the cashier if I would get the 100% with the Star Teacher and he said yes. So now I have to drive 20 miles each way to return the items.

Ok thanks Melissa.

I think they have lousy coupons…not meaning to sound negative, but there’s just too many stipulations in dealing with them…to me, it’s really not worth it.

Melissa – I made sure to call first and ask about that. I now have a Work Life Rewards card for my husband and a Star Teacher one for me. I think Star Teachers should get it too or they need to have a 100% offer just for Star Teachers.
I bought a few things, binders and the legal pads for my husband, a couple of stapler’s for my classroom, and some batteries for the house. I plan on using the rewards for ink and school supplies.

LaWanda I have mixed feelings. I haven’t tried this yet but if you buy ink or other items at office supply stores this can be a great deal. I usually have such an easy time at Staples though it is hard to lure me away 🙂

I have this Rewards card for work. We get the Rewards in the form of a gift card 4x a year. So yes, you will have to wait 2-3 months before you get your reward. I like that when I recycle an empty ink cartridge, they give me a $3 credit on my account per cartridge (I think it’s a limit of 3-4 a day). Then those $3 credits also come loaded on the gift card too. It all adds up, especially if they are useful items. I’m not sure how they would regulate that you can’t “roll” the Rewards, because it’s only a gift card…

I tried this last week for the first time (bought over $50 worth of stuff, binders, paper, and batteries) and my worklife rewards account only shows that I earned $1.95. I have tried to e-mail their customer service but have not gotten a response. I think I’m just going to end up returning these items. Have you had any problems like this in the past?
