The winner was Kari.
I have to tell you right off the bat that this is in no way an unbiased review. I worked at the Good Earth restaurants when I was 17 and it always brings back such lovely memories, I am very partial to their products. Especially the tea which is my favorite.
Anyway, I was very happy to check out the new restaurant favorites meal kits which should be hitting supermarket shelves in the next few weeks. The kit we received was Mediterranean chicken and included whole grain pasta, creamy sauce, seasoning, and you just add the chicken.
I was thinking this would be dry and taste cardboardy for some reason and we were surprised that is was actually pretty tasty. The pasta came out well and the sauce was nice and rich. We actually added a few extras to the pasta to jazz it up a little more- like sun dried tomatoes and feta cheese but you can easily serve it on its own.
Overall I think this is terribly convenient and these are very easy kits for people with smaller families especially.
If you want to check out the Good Earth Restaurant Favorites as well, you can! I have a complete kit available with a recycled tote bag, bamboo serving pieces and one of the entrees.
If you would like to enter to win, there are 4 chances. I will randomly select a winner on Tuesday at 11am PST.

My first job was in an Italian restaurant and that was where I met my husband to be. I was a server and waited on him. Now 24 years later, we have 2 kids, 2 dogs and have been married 20 years come this October. So I’d say my first job has very good memories for me!

My first job was in a souvenir shop in Japan – I didn’t even speak Japanese but could understand numbers well enough to tell prices and give change back. It was just for a few weeks in the summer and I don’t even remember how old I was.
My first job was in a discount clothing store. I have a mix of good and bad memories. I made some good friendships there, but I didn’t exactly always like the job itself.
My first job was when I was thirteen years old. I had to sweep the streets of NYC with these big brooms that were higher and heavier than me. That was for half the day. The other half I visited senior citizens and helped them with whatever they needed. I liked visiting with the seniors. Their stories were really interesting. One woman was in the Holocaust. She really liked to talk about it and make sure people would never forget.
My first official job was when I was 15, working for Dairy Queen. Back then it was walk-up only, no seated area. Long time ago. I made 70cents per hour!It was fun.
My first job was at Old Navy, working during the holidays.

My first job was at an old fashioned soda fountain in a small town drug store. I was 17 y/o and learned many valuable lessons from my patrons and co-workers! Hard work does pay off, people will always respect a hard worker!
I’m a fan on facebook. Definitely liking you on Facebook!!!
My first job (besides babysitting) was at an amusement park serving picnic lunches to the visitors. It was hot and dirty work, but still pretty fun!
I had a paper-route at 11 years of age – loved it! Good money too!

My first job was as a courtesy clerk at VONS. I didn’t mind it until it was my turn to round up the shopping carts in the parking lot.
