We had our family pictures taken a Target when my daughter was 6 weeks old. They were very friendly and the pictures turned out pretty well (you have to pick and choose). They were behind schedule so it was a little rushed and afterward they pushed pretty hard to buy more than you need. All in all, for the money I would probably go back (especially when you can get some of the portraits free.)

I have had great experiences with Target studios. I have not had in-studio pictures in about 3 years but prior to this, we ONLY went to target for pics and they were phenominal! I vetoed walmart about 15 years ago. My twins are 7 now, and every target studio I went to (ok, so we used to get pictures about 3 times a year, lol)they were so kind and patient with our twins and they let US pick the pictures we wanted for our package, unlike other studios. Make sure to clip those $4.99 portrait package coupons since usually the sitting fee is either waived or charged PER FAMILY, not per person. GREAT deals at Target.

We had family portraits done here at our Las Vegas target studio and they turned out beautifully. The photographer knew how to get each person, even our goofy toddler, to warm up and get into the photo.

I have had great luck with Target portraits! I love taking my girls there “in-between” their other pics because they are so reasonable! You can order the package for like $7.99, but hard to pick one pose, so all sheets are just $3.99.., you can’t beat that!! Order as many as you like! You can get all the “special effects,” but I just get the regular pics.
Last year we got Easter pics taken at Target.., it was AWESOME! One of the photographers put on an Easter Bunny costume..,the cutest costume ever and the pictures were adorable, got lots of compliments!!

I use Target all the time. They are the best priced and the pictures are good. Great for little kids when the pictures aren’t always great, but you want to buy them anyway.

Love the Target studio! Have taken my kids there lots of times as well as extended family (husband, kids, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents). Fantastic prices. I get traditional portrait sheets for $3.99 with their coupons.

I have gone to Target for every milestone for my 2 boys. They are always so nice and will really take thier time with us. The photos always turn out beautiful. The best part is they always have coupons available for 3.99 a sheet and a free 8×10. So they are really affordable. You can usually find the coupons on Targets website, but they also send me many in the postal mail. If you do the survey after your visit you will get a $3 off coupon for your next visit!

I have taken my kids to Target for pictures for the past 5 years & have always been happy. I go to the one in Roseville/Rocklin by the Galleria Mall.

I went to Target for my son’s 6 month pictures. The biggest mistake I made was going on a weekend! It was very busy, and I had to wait an hour after my scheduled appointment before we could go in. My son only lasted a couple minutes – he’d been waiting patiently for an hour! – so there were only one or two good shots. I’m going to try them again on a weeknight – I think it’ll be much better then! The staff was nice (except for the one who actually took my son’s pictures, of the 3 working that day she was definitely the exception to the nice rule!)

Are you planning on using two coupons at the same time? Just curious.

I have used a Target studio once. I called ahead to see how young the photograph babies. She said we have a baby specialist, so come when ever you are ready. So I made an appointment and the whole event was a disaster. I got better pictures myself that evening. She didn’t do anything cute, no props or cute backgrounds. The stuck him in a bobbie pillow and stand pictures as he cried. Obviously, this was directely related the the lady taking the pictures and not nessarily a reflection of all Target studios.
I have use my local Walmart studio now and have gone to the same lady 7-8 for my son. She is the manager and has a lot of experience. It woudln’t hurt to ask for the studio manager or someone with a lot of experience with kids. (I also ask to see their new backgrounds and props so I can get more unique pictures.) I think I got a newbie at Target. ๐
