New Morningstar Gift Card Deal at Target

Well this is exciting for me!  Ya’ll know I am a vegetarian and I buy Morningstar products all the time.  These sausage patties make a super fast breakfast sandwich in the morning.  So here is the deal:

Buy 4 and get a $5 gift card this week at Target.
They are priced at $2.99 each for sausage and bacon (which makes yummy BLTs!)
Subtotal: $11.96 and get a $5 gift card back, which is like paying $1.75 each

If you have coupons this is even better! There was a $1/2 coupon available on the Target web site previously and I have $2/2 coupon booklets I found at a grocery store. If I can buy these for .99 or so that is pretty much the best price I typically find.

Since this was not in the weekly ad, you will want to look for signs or scan the products at your store just to confirm.

Thanks Passion for Savings!

register rewards are manufacturer coupons and cannot be used with another manufacturer’s coupon on the same product here in md. i’m sure we’re not the only state that imposes this restriction. where you’re from stores are extremely lenient with their coupon policy. not here!

Michelle it should be available through Saturday.

Looks like the $1/2 is back on Target coupons, so 4 for $5!

I found $1/2 morningstar items on the back of several Keebler Townhouse crackers I bought a little while back.

I’m so excited! Vegetarian here, too, AND I found those $2/2 coupons. I wonder how many boxes I can fit in my freezer because I’m going to roll this deal as many times as I can! Thanks for the heads up. REALLY appreciate it!

Katie tell me if you find a good way to freeze them. The sausage in particular gets freezer burn no matter what I do.

Total YUM!!! Thanks Charlene, YOU ROCK!!! I have not found a way to freeze then without a 100% no freezer burn but this is the best way I have found out. Take them out of the box and out of the wrapping. Rewrap them in foil and then into a food saver bag or ziploc freezer bag.

You know, my freezer is on the bottom of our fridge/freezer and I really think this helps. In the freezer is a shelf with a basket in the bottom. Whenever I have things that I don’t want to get freezer burn, I bag them in a Target bag (it’s a little thicker) and stick it in a place that’s rarely disturbed in the coldest, deepest part of my freezer. It always seems to work for me! IF you haven’t tried this yet, I’d give it a shot. You might even want to try a paper bag with a plastic bag.

Also, there’s a $1 MorningStar coupon in that frozen foods insert that we got 1-2 Sundays back

Bridget- really? I feel like stores here are horrible because so few people actually use coupons. I see a lot of other blogs from all around the country that post similar deals to me so I don’t think this is a California thing. I do think that Walgreen’s seems to be moving toward not allowing the RR with other MQ but it seems to be a slow process. I am pretty sure lots of people in other areas have more success than I do with coupon friendly Walgreens stores.

I checked with 3 other blogs in the VA/MD area and they all have the same types of deals listed that I do- are there any other readers in MD that can comment?

I am a reader from MD & have no problem using a RR w/ a manny, but try to avoid my local Walgreens (as well as my local Rite Aid) anyway simply because I find the overall shopping experience to be nicer at our CVS! I do visit other Walgreens in MD whenever I am in those areas & find them to be pleasant (& accept RR w/ mannys)…I guess I just have a lousy Wags 🙁

I hadn’t realized you were a vegetarian too! (Well, I’m not now that I’m growing small people, but I was for 10 years and my husband still is.) Good deals on the Morningstar products are something I really look out for. 🙂

Stephanie I think it is only the breakfast stuff. I am going to pop into my Target later today and I will let you know.

I double checked too and it was sausage patties, links and bacon only.

Went today…didn’t realize it was only the breakfast items. So I didn’t get the gift card, but at $2.25 that’s a steal as well! We eat a lot of veggie burgers and I give my daughter the Veggie nuggets because they’re better for her.
